An interesting fact of nature...
Characters: Polaris, Magneto
Location: Genosha
Content: Nothing bad
Summery: Lorna returns to Genosha. Attempts to get some fatherly approval... or some new clothes. Whatever works.
The teleporter arrived on time at the 'station' set up in Mutant Town. Calling a station was doing it too much justice, but it was a familiar point of contact for the teleporter and place that other mutants could use to get to Genosha the fast way should they finally get desperate or fed up enough to go. With the headway being made on the registration act, those numbers were likely to go up.
Still, Lorna got the teleporter to show up in Mutant Town at the agreed upon time and a few dizzying seconds later they were in the warm air of Genosha at noon. Just in time for lunch.
She left the delivery office and headed for the mansion. She probably could have gotten them to drop her off there, but she didn't know if she was going to be welcome to stay at the place again and didn't want to presume. She still had that assigned apartment waiting for her... she hoped. Just in case.
It didn't take Lorna long to get to the estate, duffel bag slung over her shoulder. She had walked the whole way, though she could have flown... but she liked walking and it gave her some time to prepare herself for Magneto turning her away. Not that she expected him to, but she just didn't know him well enough outside of him having a temper and had to be prepared for any kind of response.
The one thing she didn't do was bother to knock. It probably would have been proper for her to do so, but she had stayed at the house long enough before leaving that she didn't even consider it. Just opened the door and headed for Magneto's study.
That was when she knocked. Non one just walked in unless they were really close to the man. And that was something she couldn't claim to be.
"It's Lorna. I just got back," She called out, following the rap on the wood. She had almost said 'Dad' but stopped herself. How was she supposed to address him anyway? Father? Daddy? Hey Terrorist!
