They say we're buried far...
Characters: Wanda, Pietro
Setting: Wanda's flat, early morning
Content: Likely nothing bad
Summary: Wanda and Pietro need to talk
How she managed to avoid Pietro for so long was beyond Wanda's comprehension. She'd heard Tony leave and she'd somehow managed to get the glass cleaned up then stumbled up to her room to change the sheets on her bed. The rest of Sunday evening had been spent crying until she felt empty and cold and couldn't remember why she was crying in the first place. The feelings were still there, she didn't feel better, she just felt now that they were duller. She felt that her mind was in control again. Perhaps thanks to emotional exhaustion her sleep that night was heavy and dreamless. She spent most of Monday in bed, sending a message to Fury saying she was sick but promising help if he needed anything. That day, for the first time that she could remember in her entire life, she locked her door against Pietro. She couldn't handle him, she wouldn't be able to even begin to explain what happened to her.
When the sun set on Monday and Wanda still did not feel any better emotionally she considered a call to her psychologist but decided against it and opted instead for the wonderful world of internet search engines. Apparently, she'd had something like a panic attack. The thought made her laugh. Of all the things she'd been through, it seemed ludicrous that walking in on Tony and Pietro in her bed would drive her to a breakdown. But it had, there was no denying that, and now she had to figure out what to do with herself. Monday night's sleep came with the nightmares and she laid awake half the night staring at shadows on the ceiling. At six she gave up trying to sleep, took a shower, and finally emerged from her bedroom to find something to eat. And face Pietro.
