Bright lights were not on Sitwell's schedule as of yet, but that really depended on where this discussion took them. Sometimes the innocuous really was innocuous, sometimes it was a lurking evil that slipped up enough to be caught. There was no judging by appearances in these instances. For example, this one looked like a gangly teenager right in the middle of his awkward phase, and thus almost entirely nonthreatening to Sitwell, but there was a kid in critical care with massive internal trauma, and by all accounts the awkward one hadn't touched him.
The agent came marching stiffly into the room several hours after Billy had been told to sit and wait, tablet in hand that he placed carefully on the table in front of the empty chair across from Billy then stood, one hand behind his back as he greeted courteously, "Mr. Kaplan, I'm Agent Jasper Sitwell. I'm sorry for the wait. The agents handling your case have told me you've been very patient, so thank you for that. Before we begin, can I get you a glass of water? Coffee?" There were huge gaps in the social databases of Earth since the mass migration, meaning they were going to have to cover a lot of ground in here to find out exactly what they were dealing with. As far as Sitwell knew, Kaplan's entire history started the day he was placed in S.H.I.E.L.D.s care on the Sphere. There was a lot a man could get away with in those circumstances.
