Dammit Nick
Characters:Bruce,OTA
Setting:The Sphere's Labs
Content:Jerk Cats
Summary:Bruce is enjoying his work and getting use to being so large and green.
Apprehension was to be expected. When he first arrived on the Sphere people were uneasy after all Hulk’s motivation was to smash but seven months in he could safely say his little experiment was relatively successful. He had found a balance he could be both Bruce and Hulk and keep the people of the sphere safe. There were certainly growing pains that he had to adjust to He slept in the lab and could only wear sweat pants and the lab coat he sewed himself. There was also the matter of his temper. He could still get angry but to keep people safe he needed an outlet that’s what the Avengers were for. The ebb and flow he needed to maintain was the hardest thing he’d ever done but he was enjoying it. Betty was right, when he stopped fighting it he felt like himself again. Granted there were a few hiccups. A misplaced pen and a particularly frustrating experiment had him crushing his favorite coffee cup in his hand. On those bad days he could either be found in the fight simulator or in his favorite place, the nursery or as he liked to call it “The Terrarium”.
It was his pride, the people of the sphere didn’t just need food they needed medicine and if in the future they wanted to start terraforming a planet they’d need soil samples. Bruce had had success with Kale and the Mars soil and was working on cultivating the strange fruit Ms.Knight and Ms.Wing. It was high in protein like an egg yet was as sweet as a kiwi.
Most of his days, however, were spent working on finding home and keeping the place running. It was an exciting time to be a scientist or engineer, on earth most work was researched base and most of the time it was to be published in some journal but on The Sphere they were put to work. It wasn’t just about the research it was about the doing; it was about getting results fast to help their fellow man. To Bruce this was what science was supposed to be about.
“I have no word. How you even managed to get into this lab is beyond me, you come in and you have no regard for mine or anyone else’s authority. You make a mess, you contribute nothing, you come and go as you wish and now…I can’t even say it it’s so disrespectful.” Bart meowed in protest as Banner picked him up by the scruff of his neck and placed him gently outside the laboratory doors. “You’ve taken a crap in my lunar soil sample as if it were a box of Tidy Cat. You’re a deviant and you are not welcomed back.”
