Singing words of wisdom
Characters:Betty,Bruce,Military
Setting:French Restaurant Bruce can't afford probably
Content:Innocent, probably hulk level violence x2
Summary:Two friends catch up
Maybe it was something he was born to believe, the crap his father always told him. Or maybe he didn't give others enough credit for their mistakes. Whatever it was Bruce felt guilt for what happened to Betty, he may not have forced her to stick around but if it weren't for him she'd have lived. No that was definitely his father; the crushing guilt of existing. One thing he was definitely sure of was that it hurt a lot more knowing that Betty was on the same planet as he was and it would be a shame to not try to hear her out again. It wasn't like it was her fault, she didn't ask to be brought back. And he recognized how hypocritical it was to harbor some resentment that no one told him she was alive. No one told Tony Hulk was alive.
There were plenty of questions that needed to be answered and he wasn't going to get them avoiding her calls. So he took some initiative and asked her out to dinner. Something really over priced and French should make up for how he handled things before.
He waited nervously at the table, checking his watch for the time. Thankfully only a few people saw him act up in the park and his "allergy attack" wasn't enough to get the attention of any major news sources especially since it didn't lead to a Hulk outburst. Though if the Waiter asked him one more time if he was sure he didn't want to give up his table for a couple there on time he was going to have one. She was only two minutes late.
