That wasn't much of an answer, but it was really exactly what she should have expected of Tony (of any Tony from any universe, apparently). That he wasn't more concerned about his alternate self's safety was probably a good sign but it didn't do much to ease her mind. Her first experience with the portal left a lasting impression and a well earned sense of dread. Tony, she reminded herself, had seemed so in tune with this one though that maybe there was some truth to the succinct answer that their worlds were alike. In which case, perhaps, this Tony didn't really pose a threat (even how was she actually supposed to know when he was so much like her Tony?)
There was nothing they could do right now, Wanda realized that much, and she told him so. "It has a mind of its own, I don't think you'll get much from it," she explained after he made his dazzling hypothesis and went into the kitchen to search the cabinets. He'd asked for a drink earlier, and she she sure as hell could use something herself right about now. She found a bottle of rum, poured two glasses, and returned to the living room with a careful smile on her face.
The key now was to wait and, if this trip was anything like the last, Tony should be back soon. Wanda just had to keep this Tony here for a little while and being a demanding bitch wasn't going to do her any favors. Letting him know she was leery of him wasn't going to help either. You could catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. She'd put on an act, bide her time, and hopefully finding out more about him and where he'd come from would ease her mind.
"I'm sorry, this is just a lot to deal with. It's probably best if you wait here with me for awhile. I'm sure he'll be back soon and we can clear all this up." If Tony didn't return soon, they could discuss other options. Assuming the world he'd disappeared to was similar to this one, then maybe the visiting Tony could take his place until he returned. Wanda didn't particularly like the idea, so she ignored it for now and decided they'd deal with it when they had to. She would just have have to keep him occupied for as long as possible. "In the meantime," she handed him his glass, took a swallow from her own, then grinned at him. "Entertain me."
