Characters: Loki and Phil Coulson
Setting: S.H.I.E.L.D base(?)
Content: Violence
Summary: Loki has intentions to gather some minions, unfortunately for Coulson he's been chosen.
Loki was on a mission.
Well more of a personal errand.
Having the sceptre returned to him had opened up a well of possibilities for his new game plan. It was not something he had shared with Hammer or William and Loki had no intentions of doing so. The mortals were fast losing their usability. Soon he would have his debt to William repaid and they would be free to go their separate ways. Admittedly Loki enjoyed Williams company, but sometimes his goody goody attitude put a rather negative taste on the Tricksters plans.
Hammer was useful, however Loki predicted that he would soon outlive that status. Whatever happened with the Dark Avengers, Hammer must have some sort of inkling that the villains he had brought together would not settle for being pieces on a chess board for long. The other members were formidable in their own right and the God could not see them contented without being Top Dog.
Still Loki had no interest in being top dog to a group of misfits. He had bigger plans to bring S.H.I.E.L.D crashing down around itself. Phil Coulson, the cockroach would be the first of many to fall prey to Loki's sceptre. Like sleeper agents Loki would possess them and then when the time was right, Loki would strike, like a viper in the bed sheets. It was poetic really that Son of Coul would be first. The little cockroach had been a thorn in Loki's side since the day they'd met and now Loki would break the stoic fool. Not only would he break the pathetic mortal, he would own him.
Which is how Loki found himself with a map and a scrying crystal (fashioned from something that used to be an ornamental knob on his dresser) in an attempt to locate his pesky little thorn...
