Characters: Sue Storm and Namor
Setting: Baxter Building
Content: PG-13, language
Summary: Sue is checking up on things and finds missing equipment, so she calls the culprit to return it.
It was early, the sun was up but with all the buildings around it left a small glow at the horizon and a dusty grey in the sky. Susan had learned to be an early riser and was familiar with the routine. The place would be quiet. If anyone was up they were either just getting in and collapsing in bed, Johnny, or had been up all night working, Reed. So really it was like the world was hers. At least for a few hours. Pulling her hair up into a loose twist she grabbed a light grey sweater to pull over her plain baby blue crew neck and jeans. She had no major plans for the day so wouldn't worry about business casual just yet.
As she hit the button on the coffee maker and grabbed a mug she took in the skyline. She did realize she'd been a bit spoiled as far as view, but she never took it for granted. It was a long way from where she'd started and even as it felt like home, it still took her breath away on mornings like this.
Mug in hand she left the view behind for the lab. Empty, she could finally get to checking up on things. Just making sure everything was in working order, where it belonged, and fully stocked. It took at least an hour just to go through the drawers, by the time she had gotten to the equipment that was seldom used at the back of the lab she had already been through two cups of coffee. Which was why she hesitated. With a frown she assumed she had just missed them, maybe they were moved?
Sue had been at this for awhile so maybe she just needed a break and a fresh look. On closer inspection, however, she realized that the space was there, the equipment was not. With a sigh she closed her eyes. She had a pretty good guess where it was, but to double check she went to look at security logs. Just to see if there were any other log ins other than hers or Reed's. Her eyes scanned for an anomaly and finding it growled under her breath. Without pause she went for the phone line in the lab and called. she would of course have to leave a message and she would have to make sure that he actually replied. "Your Majesty. You have some things that don't belong to you. I suggest you get here with them or a really, really good excuse before noon and you only have to deal with me."
She knew better than to threaten to come get them, he would most likely just laugh and call her bluff.
