Characters: Sally Blevins, OT Nightcrawler and any other X-Men that would be with him! :D
Setting: Sept. 6th/Abandoned warehouse in New York City, New York/Around 10 PM
Content: Work safe, subject to change
Summary: Sally is going through her daily routine of misery when she hears something on the roof of her hideout and takes cover thinking she is about to die.
It was dark, something Sally didn't enjoy, it was definitely becoming a phobia, even while in the sewers for so long, she couldn't seem to shake the nerves she got from the dark. The petite blonde curled up in the corner of the abandoned warehouse she was calling 'home', and slowly closed her eyes as a white light slowly surrounded her every curve. It was dim, but the force field she had learned to control brought comfort in her loneliness.
As she sat in silence and listened to the sounds of the outside world, a place she longed to venture into without fear of Morlocks or even humans for that matter. Having control of her abilities meant she could explore if she wished, but Sally was too afraid of what lay outside her shack. Skids looked around the empty building and gave a light huff; she had been surviving off of stealing small amounts of food from places, never more than she needed and playing it very safe. She trusted no one and only stayed outside in the open for minutes before darting back into her hole in the wall.
Tonight felt like it was no different, another night of darkness, hunger and sadness. Sally curled into herself as much as she could, wrapping her arms around her legs that were pulled into her chest. Whenever she stopped to think about it, she relived the nightmare of her mother's death, the years spent with the Morlocks. Anyone else would have probably ended their life. Skids however lived by her mother's Golden Rule, fight through the pain and heartache; always look for the rainbow after the storm. Her thoughts were interrupted by a strange noise snapped her out of her thoughts; it was coming from the roof, like a whirlwind of some kind. The mutant girl quickly made her light disappear and hid in a dark corner behind some old boxes. She heard voices, faintly and then they grew closer. Her heart was pounding, someone had found her hideout and who knows what they planned to do to her.
