characters: Jessica, Wanda
setting: the Raft
content: Stuff
summary: Hanging out. The two haven't talked in a while.
If she could help, she did, otherwise Jessica went around avoiding people. That was a popular thing here, at the Raft; and unsurprisingly, it was completely fine by her. At the same time, though, Jessica hated to think that she had become predictable, which perhaps partially compelled her to step out of her shadowy cell that she'd pick specifically so that she'd go by unnoticed. Solitude was a wonderful thing and, she thought as she stalked her way through the cold prison corridors, also dangerous. Jessica felt that familiar pang of loneliness, the kind that nearly ate her alive once, and headed to the one person there who'd always managed to keep her from getting to that place, whether said person knew it or not, to say hi. That was a start, right? She didn't know where she stood with anyone anymore, but she knew who she missed, and when Jessica reached her cell, she smiled faintly, nervous and a little embarrassed that it had taken her this long to do anything. With a little pull, the cell door slid open and Jessica stopped just within the opening, leaning against the metal with her hands behind her back and a sheepish smirk on her face. "Hello, stranger." She dropped her head, peering shyly at the other woman from beneath her lashes.
