I still believe in summer days, the seasons always change....
Characters: Wanda, Open to Pyro
Setting: Gardens outside Magnus' Manor
Content: Dunno
Summary: Wanda decides to test the boundaries of her house arrest
Wanda was pushing her luck today. She decided she was going to leave the manor, even if it was only to spend the evening in the manor's gardens. Apparently her father was away from Genosha, or so she'd been told- she still hadn't seen him or spoken to him in days and it was making her a little nervous. Still, whether he was here or not, he probably had cameras or spies and she half expected something to happen as she stepped out of the french doors and onto the back terrace. She was dressed in a blue sundress and wore no shoes; she wanted to look as innocent as possible to anyone watching. Who would try to escape without shoes? Wanda suspected that if she tried to actually leave the island itself there would be several mutants with orders to stop her. The gardens were a popular spot on the island and as she wandered she received nods from those who recognized her, yet no one spoke to her. "So I'm a pariah now," she muttered to herself and ducked into a secluded little garden just as dusk fell. She sat on a bench near a pond, trailing her feet in the water and staring off at nothing with a melancholy look in her eyes. She missed New York City more than she could possibly imagine, perhaps for nothing more than the freedom of it. Things that had annoyed her before- the traffic, the lights, the noise at all hours- were endearing memories. She missed wandering the streets, she missed the cold winter and the twenty-four hour coffee shop and the strangers. The hot and humid air of Genosha, perfumed with tropical flowers, was too heavy and the coming evening was too quiet. Somewhere along the line, this had ceased to be home.
