"Good!" Eve said softly, giving Savannah a hopeful smile. At least she was smiling, that was something. "You don't need to thank me." Eve repeated.
Little bits of better would soon mean a lot to Savannah, at least Eve thought so. She wouldn't know, of course, because she had never lost someone close like that. Eve knew she'd have to be cautious with what she asked Savannah from now on, but it was burning her not to know exactly why she was feeling this awful.
