For a while there, Eve didn't think she was grieving after all, maybe just tired of people in general. It happened. But now, from her tears and what she had said, Eve confirmed her first instinct. She rubbed the girl's shoulder gently with her hand, not wanting to hug her just yet - that was invasion of personal space, obviously - and realized she could do nothing more than just watch the girl letting it all out.
"I'm so sorry...So sorry." Eve said softly. It had probably been the New Year's Eve thing, she had just realized. Maybe, of all those names of missing people, some were this girl's family or friends, and Eve had absolutely no idea how that must feel. Again, she thought the best thing she could do was to just be there while the girl let out everything that had been making her so sick.
