Eve shrugged. If she didn't want anything, she didn't want anything. No point in trying to force her.
"You're not in my way! I came over here, remember?" Eve smiled at her. "Even if I wasn't expecting to find you, can't say you're in the way of anything. I wasn't planning on doing anything, anyway." Thinking could be done later, anyway. She had her brain on her at all times after all!
"Hey...Most people are rude bastards. You're not in the way of them, they are just too blunt to find a way around anyone else." She had no idea where she'd gotten this from, but it worked, and it was probably true. Most people she knew or had interacted with weren't exactly polished diamonds in the way they acted towards other people.
Seeing the girl cry almost broke a little piece of Eve's heart. "I know I probably can't solve it, but I can try and help you get back on your feet so you can." It was nothing short of an honest suggestion. This, she had done before, and she meant it. Eve was used to be the go-to girl for confidence pushing and cheering up, because she worked hard on keeping people in a good mood because it influenced her own mood.
This time, though, since she was feeling weird, post-concussion, post-sleep deprivation, and post-Jack, her mood was weird to begin with. It wasn't really about herself right now. It was about taking conscience and realizing that she would appreciate the same type of kindness if it were her. Okay so it was a little also about herself. People never change completely.
