Had this girl known anything about her, she'd know Eve knew full well she didn't have to do anything, much less talk to anyone, if she didn't want to. Eve also never felt obligated to do anything, it wasn't something she knew how to do.
"Wrong. You're wrong. I've never felt obligated to do anything in my life, not about to start now." Eve leaned back, relaxing. "It's good that you're not going to do that, but I'm not going anywhere. I needed to come here and sit for a while, and that's what I'm doing. The fact that you seem so goddamn torn made me want to talk to you. It's got nothing to do with me wanting to stop your iminent suicide."
If she didn't want to talk, then Eve would just have to ignore her. Apparently, people didn't respond well to being 'helped' by strangers. Eve wouldn't know, she had never tried it before.She had never wanted to.
