Never Broken
Who: Chelsea, Lisa, Sean, and Molly When: About 7 am Where: Chelsea's room
Chelsea had finally gotten to sleep. Despite the neck brace and the whole not moving much thing, it was fairly easy, actually. That tended to happen when you'd been awake for the better part of two days. Even with her friends to keep her company, she was grateful when the nurse came and told her she could sleep.
If only they'd remembered to shut the damn curtains before going to sleep. Light was streaming in from outside. Grumbling, Chelsea pulled the sheets up over her head and rolled onto her side, closing her eyes to try to get a little more sleep.
Wait... did I just... Chelsea sat upright in bed, just staring at her hands, completely speechless. For a moment, all she could do was look at them before testing each one, wiggling them one at a time while looking at them awestruck. She reached up and felt her neck... her arms weren't heavy at all, and there was no pain at all. In fact, aside from a few cuts and bruises, it was as if she hadn't been injured at all the day before. She ran her tongue along her teeth- even those had been replaced.
"Ho-lee SHIT!" she screamed as she ripped off the neck brace. She didn't care who she woke up, in her room or in other rooms. She held the neck brace in her restored hands and stared at it as she twisted her head around to make sure it was perfectly fine.
