Who: Res and Keane
When: Late morning through early afternoon
Where: The lobby, all over B Deck
In high school, Res had jobs all four years in different hotels in Detroit. She had learned that, more or less, most hotel computer systems were essentially the same. When you knew how one system worked, it wasn't hard to pick up another. And when you knew how the system basically worked, it wasn't too hard to look out for things you wanted. Res had spent a lot of time in the lobby during the night, reading on one of the couches. When she had what she needed, she went to her room to sleep. She returned to the third floor in the morning, and spent a lot of time in the chapel. As soon as she saw the girl from guest services leave the front desk, she acted.
Acting like she belonged there, she headed into the lobby, jumped the desk, and crouched down in front of the computer. SCORE. The girl was still logged in. Well... Genesis St. Vincent... you are about to lose your job. Or, would, if they made it back to humanity.
She worked fast, clicking away while she found the information she wanted, and then scribbling down room numbers. Then, she made keys. She was done and off to the elevator before the girl returned to the lobby.
All the rooms she was looking for were, mercifully, on B-Deck. That made acting like she wasn't out of place easy - it was her own floor. All in all, what she did was disturbingly easy.
