[03 Jan 2009|12:43am]
Who: Ronnie, Open
Where: 3rd Deck rail
When: After the Afternoon shift's over.

Ronnie sighed, holding a root beer and sitting on the railing of the ship, leaning against an upper level support as he watch the water go buy down below. He was a little disappointed that as a crew member he wasn't allowed alcohol, but root beer was good, and so was the view. Plus he was on a cruise ship, and when he didn't have to work he was allowed to utilize the activities. It was his favorite job so far.

Sighing he rubbed his shins, frowning from the shin splints and the fact that he was pulling another shift that night. Seemed pointless to him, what was going to happen? A riot?

But the money was good. That's all he had to think about. That and he was sure to get a decent job when he got off the shift because of this. He grinned slightly. He was going to be a policeman.

Book and Flowers [03 Jan 2009|11:05am]
Who: Sasha and open!
When: Early Afternoon
Where: D Deck, Homer's Study then Gaia

Sasha spent the morning cloistered in her room while the guests boarded the ship. She was having reservations about her decision. So her parents were coming close to finding her - so what? There was an entire country she could have run to and on impulse she jumped on to a ship. She wanted to bang her head on the wall for her stupidity. Meeting her supervisor and acquainting herself with the ship was no problem, at first. Everyone she met was kind and seemed to accept her shyness simply as shyness. No one bothered her. However, when she woke up this morning and heard people rumbling around she decided it was time to stay hidden. What if her parents had gotten on board? What if they had followed her here? She wasn't about to go roaming to see if she would run into them. Besides, what were the chances of that? She laughed to herself and gripped the neck of her cello firmly.

The entire morning was spent in cello drills in attempt to play her worries away. Unfortunately, as the day began to wear on it became apparent that she couldn't just lock herself away forever. Tonight she was expected to attend a dinner at the Circean Delight. Apparently the captain would be making some sort of speech, which was all well and good, but Sasha wasn't particularly interested. The only benefit was that she could use it as an excuse to wear the only non-casual dress she owned. That would be fun.

Finally, when playing did seem to seep away her negative energy, Sasha pulled herself together, pulled her hair back in a ribbon and decided to explore a little. She had read in the informational pamphlet given to her that there was a library on board. She figured this would be a great chance to grab some items to entertain herself when she wasn't working. Her journey up two floors to the D deck was blissfully silent. No one bugged her or got in her way. Thank goodness! was all she could think to herself.

The library impressed Sasha. She had expected something out her public school days with drab walls and books. Instead the walls were rich in color and so inviting. She spent a little time in the library but felt slightly overwhelmed by her options. She made a mental decision to return later, expecting it not to be a particularly popular place with all the other attractions available on board. She headed down the hallway, through the top floor of Eurycleia's Cafe and continued on. She had seen a glimpse of flowers the other day as she was hurrying passed and wanted to check it out.

Sure enough, as she continued om she found Gaia. The greenhouse stood in front of her full of beauty. She gave a soft exclamation and took it all in. "How lovely!" she murmured aloud.
