Lisa smiled at Molly's joke. "Fortune cookies? Really? I better get some right away. I could use any help I can get..." She paused for a moment, then said, "I don't know, Molly, it just seems like, lately, I haven't been able to think straight. It seems like I keep making foolish decisions. The other night when I was trapped on the elevator, CJ invited me to come to his room, and I was actually thinking about going, about maybe having sex with him... but, now, I can't imagine what I was thinking. I hardly know him, and I'm definitely not the type of girl that goes around sleeping with strangers. If I had done that, it would have been for all the wrong reasons, like... like doing it just to get back at somebody, only there's nobody to get back at. I... I'm sorry, Molly, I shouldn't go babbling like this to you. It just seems like I can think more clearly when I'm talking to you."
Wow. Lisa was amazed that she had opened up like that to this girl, but she definitely felt better now that she had. It was as if by acknowledging her recent foolishness she had somehow lifted a burden from her shoulders.
