Molly took Savannah's hand, mostly for reassurance. She'd known this was coming, but the reasons were scary.
"Yeah, we're a family. If there enough connected rooms he'll have us in the one closest to Chelsea and Lisa." Lisa who wasn't Lisa. It was still wierd, but so was thinking of Lisa with Molly's mother's name. Nope, Lisa. "So the family will be together. All of us adopted ducks under his wing. He likes his ducks in a row."
"I think he's doing this for peace of mind as much as honest security. Bad guy out there, disappearing in rooms, people feel snuggly safe to know they aren't alone." Did her Sean really think he could stop people from disappearing? Likely not. But he had to 'do something' to protect these people. At least this would lessen the chance s of the killer getting people alone.
The black in her head bubbled up and swallowed the last six minutes. Molly felt an internal shift and suddenly missing time. She remembered leaving their room and walking here, but not sitting or listening.
Molly scratched at one of the scars under her hair. "When did we get here?"
