A blonde waiter caught her eye, moderately tall and whipcord lean, with a tanned face that looked like he could grow into something that would attract her attention with a few more years. As for now, he was the bland kind of pretty that bored her, and a personality that grated against her nerves. Still, she crooked her finger when his eyes caught hers, telling him that she wanted to speak to him. There was more than a hint of reluctance in his eyes when he did come, holding a tray of hors d'oeuvres in one hand, cockiness overtaking the reluctance on his face.
The look he sent her when he did amble over, was meant to be insulting, a long, thorough glance down her costume clad body, but she ignored it. Instead she sent him a look that only spoke of seduction, and he missed the threat that lay within in, as she moved forward and tilted her head up to speak directly into his ear. Their postures almost spoke of lust, almost, with their bodies in close proximity and the hint of a smile on her lips as she whispered a message to him.
But for the paling of his face, her self-satisfied smile as she pulled back would have been mistaken for the successful set up of a later meeting. A promise of something in a back room, of kisses and touches in the dark.
Kassandra stepped back from the blonde, and whatever her last murmur to him was, it was lost in the music and the crowd except to him, and he gave her a jerky nod as he backed off a step and turned to disappear into the costumes and fantasy of the passengers around them.
