Although the idea had started out randomly, it had seemed like so much fun! So they had run with it, and she was really looking forward to having everyone over for the night. She knew it was going to be a lot of fun. She had gone out with Kurt earlier to pick up the stuff for their outfits as well as to stock up on Ice Cream, drinks and anything else they might need.

She had spent a while getting ready after she got home, because even a party at her own apartment required her to look good! It was essential. She had managed to find the dress she had found online the night before and when she had put it on, she felt amazing. She loved it! She checked her reflection in the mirror, smoothing the dress and admired the fabulous hair and make up job that Kurt had done on her.

She set about making sure everything was ready, everyone should start arriving soon and she couldn't wait!

"I like that, a different version of ourselves," Hunter replied. "I never thought people changed, but I think it's more of a refinement than anything else. Polishing off the rust and finding a new approach to life."

Hunter tipped his head down at the mention of Quinn. "I appreciate that," he said, his voice a little rough again. "I don't want to hurt her, I'm going to do everything I can to not hurt her, but it's good to know you'll be here for her no matter what happens."

"I like it too," she said honestly, "I think it makes much more sense than suggesting that you can become a whole different person," Rachel told him, it was something she genuinely believed, because after many of the changes she had gone through since starting at NYADA, she tried to convince herself she was a new person, but that person wasn't her.

"I know that, honestly," she said, her voice soft as she spoke to him, "she's coming here at the weekend, we're gonna have girl time, we're gonna relax and she is going to be just fine. And so are you."

"Thank you again, Rachel," Hunter said, reaching out to place a hand on Rachel's shoulder. "For talking to me tonight, and for being there for Quinn. I know you're here friend and you would do that anyway, but it makes me feel a lot better knowing she has someone like you in her court."

With a little squeeze, Hunter dropped his hand away. "I should stop keeping you," he said. "This is your party and I've got you locked up in here, being all serious."

	"It;s fibe," she assured him, "any time you need to talk, just say so. I don't mind, and I'm sure nobody is missing me too much!" she chuckled, "however I do think we both need another drink. 	"I appreciate that too," she smiled, "and sundaes sound perfect!" she grinned, grabbing his hand and pulling him back out into the main room of the loft, towards the counter and grabbing some bowls. 	Hunter's eyes went wide at the variety of ice cream and toppings Rachel produced. "Wow, you guys didn't spare any expense here, did you?" he asked with a laugh, taking a bowl and looking at the spread like a kid in a candy store. 	"I think you did it," Hunter replied with a laughing, taking the cartons from Rachel. He dished up a big scoop of each, and then proceeded to cover them with syrup. "This is amazing. "I know what you mean," she smiled, "i've been there, feeling isolated, unwanted, like the odd one out. That people just sort of put up with, it wasn't until I accepted myself for who I was and stopped trying to be quite as perfect that I started to really have friends and be happy."

"And you don't have to thank me at all, i'm glad that I can be a friend to you," she told him sincerely

"It's an old one. 1992," Hunter said with a laugh. "It's about a figure skater who needs a partner for competition and ends up skating with a retired hockey player. And I love it."

Hunter took another bite of ice cream, licking syrup off his lower lip. "This sounds like an excellent plan to me," he said. "Can we have ice cream then too?" he asked with a chuckle.
