Pretending to be human had its perks, many of them, but sometimes Carmine felt the tug of his natural skin. He liked to be down on four legs, running through the trees, the wind rustling through his fur. Wolves were looked down on as bad, a reputation people like Carmine earned for them, so sometimes he had to be careful when he assumed his true form. It was preferable to be the stalker instead of the stalked. For that reason, he kept his attention divided between running and keeping tabs on the smells around him.

He sniffed out someone nearby and, being curious, decided to check out who else was out there with him in the woods outside of Spellton.
