12:09 am [themetagame]	THE META GAME NAVIGATE the meta game There is a theory. A theory which states that all fiction has a basis in fact. That no idea is entirely original, but simply a divine glimpse into an alternate reality. A secret world, where legends live and breathe. This theory is not just a simple idea, but fact. And only a small percentage of the human population will ever glimpse beyond the veil. The veil between our world as we know it, a façade that has been so carefully constructed to keep humans safe, and the true world. The Metahumans see the world as it truly is. And they are its guardians. The Meta Game is an original superpower game, in which all characters have undergone an awakening, becoming metahuman. In this universe, there is a secret organization - referred to only has the Agency - that keeps tabs on all metahumans and preternatural activity. In this world, everything is true, and nothing is impossible. Upon an individual's awakening, they are recruited into the Agency and offered a deal. Have your newfound powers and memory wiped, and safely return to your old life unchanged - or, embrace evolution and join the Agency. As a member of the Agency, your entire world opens up. The secrets of the world's legends are at your fingertips; an endless supply of knowledge for you to study to your heart's content. Money, more money than you have ever dreamed of. The BASIC PREMISE: Is that the East Coast of the US was nuked because all Supernatural beings were drawn to that area- mostly to Salem, but considering the amount of Supernatural Creatures in the World, they took the entire East Coast and as all Governments started to notice this. They decided to get rid of them and nuke the East coast no matter what the casualties were. Still, due to the massive murders in Salem due to Witchcraft, which were by far more than what the public knows. A bubble in time and space managed to save a lot of Supernatural creatures, some of which are considered endangered and others that are caught in the middle of the battle between the rest of the World and these Creatures who aren’t either bad, nor good. Without the ability to leave. ALL governments found out there were survivors out there in Massachusets. Especially in Salem, so a special force was created to murder with special weapons whichever creature, or human that tries to leave the city at cold blood. Not even newborn babies are allowed out, because the Governments fear they might end up been of corrupted blood and they want a Human World. Still, there is a big problem. When God created Humanity, Men and Women started to destroy the resources Nature had to offer to them. So to balance the scale. Mother Nature, created these Supernatural Creatures to predate on Humans and keep the balance in check. Now the World is at Risk. With Supernatural Creatures trapped in Salem and no way to get out, Humans have no predators to keep them at bay and they are exhausting the natural recourses. They are killing the planet they live in. The Supernatural Creatures can’t get out and after so many years of survival, they had rebuilt Salem, so they live in a normal town with Wi-Fi and everything they need to try making it out. The main problem is as to how do you get all these Supernatural Beings who have issues against each other that had lasted for millennia? To work together against the Militia that is keeping them inside? Well, that is why the Council was formed for. Please. Don't take offence in this. It's just that sometimes, some of us prefer to write with people closer to our ages and more experience in life. There is also the matter of: * Communication. Which I found sometimes it's not the same between younger people and older than 30. * Fandoms. Some of which younger people have barely even heard of and we still would love to write. * Actors & Actresses. Sure we watch TV. Movies and we read. We keep adding PBs and characters to our lists all the time! But truth is. Sometimes we go to the usual communities and we have NO idea who the person in the icon is! (This doesn't makes us old. We just don't move in the places that perhaps you do. Like perhaps you guys want to play people from reality shows. You tubers. Fighters from the Mixed Martial Arts. A rickety old door with rusted metal and splintered, warped wood. Those that are brave enough to walk through it will find that there is not simply a dusty old closet. Rather, there is a world beyond that door -- one that is apart from time itself. In a seemingly quiet, quaint little village lies something as dark and haunting as the door that leads to it looks. Once someone steps through it, there is no going back and you enter a world where nightmares become real. The Cellar Door is a time-displacement Harry Potter roleplay with dark themes. We look to build an active, plot-centric community which tests the bounds of characters within the village. 12:44 pm [theshadowbefore]	THE SHADOW BEFORE On the surface, Point Pleasant, Maine certainly appears to be the kind of idyllic coastal town that every tourist would want to flock to during the warm summer months. It has that welcoming small town atmosphere that draws you in and makes you feel as though you belong. Locals will be sure to point out its gorgeous harbor, cozy little shops, the pollution free night skies, clear and full of stars... not to mention its disturbing fascinating history. What the locals won't tell you is that for the past three hundred and twenty three years, Point Pleasant has unwittingly served as a nexus for the supernatural, the metaphysical, the evil and the damned. There are plenty who are dismissive of its history. After all, every town has a run of bad luck here and there. So what if Point Pleasant has an unusually high number of missing persons... strange and unexplainable deaths happen. That? That wasn't a monster you saw... monsters aren't real. Right? Oh, everyone wants to talk about what's happening in their town, and yet no one really wants to talk about it. They're content with going on with their lives, getting through school, making another buck, getting through the day in one piece. But what they don't know is that ignoring the evil won't make it go away. Those who ignore the past are doomed to repeat it, isn't that what they say? Simply put, whatever has been drawing the darkness into their small town is only getting started, and nobody is safe. The Shadow Before is an original, horror based game set in the fictional town of Point Pleasant, Maine. If you're Gifted, you will be taught how to control and use your Gift here, but you won't be made to feel like an outsider, or a freak, like can happen in other places. 11:47 pm [quiddpitch]	The Quidditch Pitch Coming off it's most successful year in a century, the British & Irish Quiddich League 2007 season has just started. Just a few short weeks before the season opener, the Quidditch world is rocked by scandal. It has been exposed that members of last season's champions, the Kenmare Kestrels, were taking illegal performance enhancing potions, calling their historic undefeated season into question. Those involved in the scandal, including players and team administration, have been removed from the active duty, pending investigation. The Kenmare Kestrels are hastily filling the newly opened positions in time for the start of the season. New calls for increased Ministry oversight of the BIL have emerged, citing this most recent incident. Meanwhile, the Chudley Cannons are pinning their hopes on a new international player that will finally ensure (they hope) that the team will finish any place but last this season. The Holyhead Harpies have signed their first openly transgender player, causing a ripple among the Quidditch world. The Wimbourne Wasps have been bought by a new owner, who recently won a WWN contest that made dreams come true.
