OOC: GLEE ASSIGNMENTS

...sing for the moment... )

Effie tracked Leo down to one of his afternoon classes on Wednesday. She had Alex in tow, and the two blended into the crowd milling through the hall outside his classroom once the bell rang to let everyone out.

Once he started walking down the hall, the instrumental background track began to play overhead. (Effie had called in a favor with the student who made the announcements) She then began to sing "You are the Music in Me" from High School Musical 2, using the element of surprise to her advantage at first. Alex sang the male part right with her, as he could not resist her pleading eyes when she'd asked, and when the song finished she gave Leo a big kiss on the cheek before dancing her way off to her next class.

Nacola, like the adorably sneaky little ninja she is, followed Noel around all day waiting for the perfect time. It was during a break between classes, when a large crowd of people was outside enjoying the weather, that she sprang into action.

Out of nowhere, music began to play (from a well-hidden iHome nearby) and Nacola popped out of nowhere and right into song. She performed Jana Kramer's "What I Love About Your Love", accompanied by a few friends for fun backup dance effect, and made it very clear who she was singing to. Her flirty and adorable way of dancing around and up to Noel was quite obvious, and the end of the song granted him a big old-fashioned kiss as she launched into him and wrapped around him happily.

Having been a pageant girl, Tori was not unaccustomed to putting on a show. Nor was she afraid of the spotlight, given her modeling and the personality everyone was learning about first hand. So it was probably a bit surprising that when she decided to complete her assignment, she started out in the cafeteria, disguised as a far less confident and commanding young lady.

The music began, and Tori was soon up, moving awkwardly even as her voice ran out strong. As the performance continued, however, she stripped off the baggy clothes and wig she wore, discarding the entire disguise within minutes at the climax of the first verse. From then on out, Tori's talent shined as she danced and sang with wild abandon, finally ending her song with a prim cross-legged pose on the corner of someone's lunch table; applause surrounding her.
