	He was fighting to save Asgard. The Allmother died a few years before, and Odin died, and Hela — our... sister — broke free of the prison he'd trapped her in and tried to take over Asgard. Humans have seen wars play out through their TV screens since the Vietnam War. Technology, globalization. They see their favorite movies, made by new peons in Hollywood. Media. I can buy mangoes from Peru, hide my gold in Switzerland, start drinking in Alaska and end up in Mexico before the day's over.

Who can compete with that? Not me. Fuck, one of my statues made it to Greece. A long fucking time ago.
