Once all is said and done, it’s time for the grand finale. Nothing is more beautiful than the ball and the town goes all out on it every year. This year’s theme is the Mystery and Magic of the Enchanted Beasts of the Forbidden Forest.

The ball itself will be decorated to look like an enchanted forest and it is encouraged to theme your mask and dress (or dress robes) like a magical creature. Be creative, but remember this is a black tie event hosted by the most old-fashioned of pureblood witches and wizards.

The ball begins at 9pm.

"Masquerade! Grinning yellows, spinning reds. Masquerade! Take your fill - Let the spectacle astound you!"

	Kurt stood tall, his lovely fae and bowie inspired frock accented by a lovely pale blue eyemask. He knew he would be in one of the loveliest outfits as he was every year he was old enough for the masquerade. 	Blaine made his way up to the other boy. He'd spotted him as soon as he'd entered. That gorgeous man could be no one but Kurt, he knew it. He was wearing a rather traditional masquerade attire and a lovely black and gold mask. "Excuse me, but I do think you're the best dressed one here..." he said in a flirtatious manner. The night had already begun, but Tori had always been a firm believer of being fashionably late. Being one of the first meant that there were less people to notice your entrance.

This year she was trying something different though. She had thought of going as many different things, from a dragon with great wings, to an emerald butterfly. Having seen Santana entering before her, Tori was glad she hadn't gone that route. Instead her dress wasn't the huge puffy gowns she usually wore. Her dress instead was much closer to her body and flowed as she moved. Matched with her mask She seemed to be portraying some other worldly sea sprite.

Now that she was here, Tori needed to find either Noah, or Zachary. There was little chance of her wanting to be seen alone for too terribly long.

In a hunter green suit that clearly matches his dates dress Puck adjusted his mask before he stepped out into the garden, his hand coming to rest low on Tori's back as he appeared at her side. He had seen her exit the main ballroom and had followed after her because unlike most people Puck didn't care for the mask ball and if anyone thought their masks were hiding their identity were idiots.

Etta stepped into the grand hall, flanked on either side by her parents (they'd managed to talk Dad out of his space suit finally, but the Plague Doctor mask was about twenty bazillion times creepier). Once safely inside her mom leaned in and kissed her cheek and Dad tried but ended up almost jabbing a couple of eyes out, so he settled for just poking her in the cheek with his nose. "Don't do anything stupid," he said.

"Your parents are watching and we know what you look like." Mom chuckled and then released her into the unsuspecting public.

Etta grinned, swirling into the room. Though her mask was a little more revealing than some of the others', her mother had spelled her telltale red hair to match the teal-gold of her dress. Combined with the unearthly blue of her lips and the slight greenish tint brought to her skin by some makeup, she looked like something royal that had been dragged from the depths of the ocean. And, if she did say so herself, she looked fucking hot. She glanced around, looking for someone familiar, or at the very least someone who looked fun.

	Nerio was waiting for her at the bottom of the stairs. His eyes lit up when he saw her. She looked beautiful in her dress. He was dressed in a traditional black tux topped off with a harlequin inspired mask When she made it to the bottom of the steps, he was there, hand extended to her. Lonnie stepped onto the stairs, her hair pulled up and resting gently against the back of her neck. She was dressed in a Black Swan inspired gown complete with a mask that covered her eyes and nose. She had a fan with black feathers attached to her wrist. The effect of the black against her white skin and blonde hair gave the impression of a swan that might once have been white, but no longer.

As she stepped down the stairs, she was aware of some eyes on her. She could hear whispers about "that mudblood girl" but Lonnie just held her hair higher.

	Liv was ecstatic about the masquerade. She absolutely loved events like this, she loved dressing up. Even if it was just for a night, it made her feel like a princess. She had chosen a red dress with a gold mask. She was rather fond of the color combination, and the dress made her feel beautiful. (Reply to this) (Parent)

The masquerade was everything that Tina had dreamed about and more. All the decorations were gorgeous and she felt like she was someone out of a fairytale. Her father had gone all out in helping her dress up for the party as an appology for entering her into the Miss Serenity Contest without asking her permission.

Since the ball had been themed magical creatures, Tina had gone all out. Her gown seemed to look like a flame flickering as she moved under the lights and The wings had been her father's idea, but they gave her the look of a firey angel.

Gold and crimson glitter fanned her cheeks and shoulders and her dark red streaked hair laid in ringlets down her back with tiny gold gems having been magicked into it. The mask was the finishing touch to make Tina truly look like a phoenix having taken human form.

She stepped down the stairs slowly as she glanced around for Dean first. This was going to be hard though to find him. She didn't know what he was supposed to even look like.

Bella was dancing with a charming young man that had no clue who she really was but she was clearly enjoying herself. The mask ball had always been her favourite event out of Founder's Week and it clearly show as Bella was practically glowing.

Dressed in the dress that Misha had sent by owl (or that is what she thought had happen) Bella was spun around as she let out a laugh. She had a white mask on to match her dress and as soon as she entered the ball room she had men asking for a dance. None of them were any that she knew but it didn't matter because she loved to dance.

Hunter had never been one for dances, or for the gratuitous themes that went with them. Still he knew that Fawn did, and so he had tried his best to dress in a way that would please her. In the end he had ended up in a simple black frock coat with gold braid, and a golden half-mask of the sun. He pulled the tail of his coat down uncomfortably, trying to look as though he fit in, as happy looking couples twirled on the dance floor.

Joanna sat in the courtyard, glad to be away from everyone. She was still wearing the dress Kurt had made for her and a black, feathered cat mask, but her white wings seemed to stand out. She stretched them and her arms. At least the whole pageant was just about over. While she was surprised she placed at all, she was still disappointed in herself. She felt that Kurt's dress would have won if worn on someone else.

Looking up at the sky, she let out a sigh and smiled. At least she had fun this Founders Week, she had to admit.

Being in the moonlight was perfect for Santana. Wearing her 'blinged-out' butterfly mask and monarch butterfly dress, Santana seemed to glow. The moonlight gleamed on the jewels, illuminating her face, especially her eyes. As she walked down the garden, she noticed a beautiful multicolored rose. She tried to pick it, but pricked her finger and pulled it back, frowning as she noticed blood.

"Stupid flower," she grumbled, glaring at it.

Dean walked into the garden, searching for Puck. The man had been a complete dick lately and Dean thought he knew why. This was all going to end tonight. It had to or else they'd be playing these games forever. So after asking Tina to follow some distance behind him, Dean went out looking. He smoothed his white suit and made sure his matching mask covered all it was meant to.

In the gardens, Puck was smoking and Dean approached him, eyeing the green suit. "House pride can go too far you know." He said.

Janus stood on the upper balcony, overlooking the goings-on with a regal eye. His face was obscured by an ornate 3-faced mask. His attire was elegant, a gold vest with a cream shirt that matched his mask and black trousers and shoes. Topping it all off was a one-shoulder black cape and in his hand he held a beautiful cane. Nox however, was no longer the bleached blonde everyone expected. He'd dyed his hair earlier and it was now a lovely shade of brown .

Natasha looked around at the sky and on the streets. She wore a metallic mask that looked like a spider's web and a white dress with black lace over it. She had make up to cover over the scars on her neck, arms, and legs. The colors lit up all around and she couldn't help but think they were incredibly beautiful. For the time being, she was glad she came to see such a sight.
