Lookin' for Food...
Who: Blake Tyrie and Emma Frost
What: Blake runs into his Ethics teacher while trying to find something to eat
When: Thursday Evening
Where: Kitchen,in the X-Mansion
Rating: PG-13 because of Blake's mouth and attitude

A young man of 19 years walked the halls of the Xavier Institute.  He grew bored of his MP3 player so he decided to get something to eat.  This young man had been through a lot.  He has had a roller coaster of a life.  This young man has seen his parents killed and his house burned down to the ground.  He has lived on the streets for years, barely getting through the days of his young life.  He has even killed people himself when he was only 13 years old.  However, despite that, he had also seen good in his life.  He found out, the day that he was discovered by his friend Landa, that he was destined for something more.  This young man hated the way mutants, people with special ability, were being treated.  However, on the other hand, he was taught that mutants couldn't take advantage of humans during his time at the Xavier Institute.  This young man's name was Blake Tyrie.  All that Blake truly wanted was to master his powers and get out of the school, and he couldn't wait for that day.  Blake had no way of entertaining himself other than pulling pranks and starting fights with the other students.  Blake wasn't able to do much of that today, so he felt this day of his to be...unproductive.  Blake thought that he could at least get something good to eat.

Blake had class today with a woman named Ms. Frost, or something like that.  Blake was not sure what her power was, in Blake's mind, it probably had something to do with ice or something stupid like that.  Blake didn't really pay attention to anything but his wants, needs, and desires.  It was his desire to get out of here as soon as he was done learning whatever it was that he needed to learn.  The sound of his black shoes hitting the floors echoed throughout the halls as he made his way toward the kitchen which, upon finding it, appeared to be empty.  Blake didn't care, though, as usual.  Blake made his way to the fridge to find something to eat.  He opened the fridge up and he began to scan the inside of the fridge.  He might go swimming later as well, no one knew what Blake was going to do next.  Not even Blake knew what he was going to do next.  However, what Blake did know was that he felt that he was probably the best student in the school, Blake felt that he had the most potential, but Blake wasn't so into himself, he knew that he still had a lot to learn.  Blake sighed as his eyes scanned the fridge for something quick to eat.

"Oh please, Mister Tyrie. The world does not revolve around you." Taking a final sip of her coffee she placed her mug in the sink. "I have no intentions of chastising you for your behavior considering I have yet to witness what other teachers have," Resting her hip against the counter, she crossed her arms over her chest and watched him closely.

"I wanted a cup of coffee, and it just so happened that you were in here at the same time. I'm not following you, and I'm not here right now to lecture you about your behavior. I think, if you want to be left alone, you ought to be left alone. Nineteen years old, and being treated like some of our freshman population. Granted, from what I hear, you don't exactly act like a nineteen year old some of the time," A smirk curled across her lips once more, this time there was no coffee cup to hide behind. It was difficult to determine if her smirk was mocking him or not. Emma wasn't the easiest person to understand. She wasn't Ororo where emotions and opinions were worn so openly on her sleeve.

Her walls were made of diamond with intentions of keeping everyone out emotionally. It was easiest to keep people at an arms length than to open up herself to be vulnerable. If Blake felt like he couldn't read her like most people, it was because Emma didn't want to be read like some sort of book. As a telepath, Emma read other people like a book, she hated the idea of being in the opposite situation.

Blake rolled his eyes once more at Ms. Frost, barely taking in what she had to say. Blake may have been a little cocky and cynical, but he wasn't that into himself. He knew the world didn't revolve around him. Blake knew that if it did, then his parents wouldn't have died. If it did, then he would have mastered his powers the first day he got to the school and have gotten the hell out of the school already. However, Blake did think that he was the strongest mutant at the school. He thought that he had the most potential and he thought he could beat down anyone that crossed his path. Blake took out leftover pizza that he spotted at the bottom of the inside of the fridge. He took three slices, put them on a plate and walked over and popped them into the microwave and set the microwave to warm the pizza up. After putting the pizza into the microwave, Blake thought that he should have ate it as it was, just to give Ms. Frost something to watch. Blake found his way back to the fridge and leaned against it once more, only to hear Ms. Frost's condescending comment.

She basically told Blake that he should be able to do whatever he wanted but then she told him that he didn't act his age. That comment caught Blake's attention but he didn't really care for what others said about him. If he did, then he wouldn't be Blake Tyrie quite frankly. Blake kept his smirk on his face. Blake thought it would be too easy for him talk bad about Ms. Frost, in fact he found it too easy to talk about anyone. Blake loved finding flaws in other people and he loved letting them know what their flaws were all the time.

"Oh really? Well, from what I hear, you...you know what? Never mind, that's way too easy...", Blake said, deciding to hold back his insult, he rather not face another complaint made by another professor.

Emma's brows rose curiously as Blake was about to insult her but held back, "Oh no, Mister Tyrie," Waving her hand to urge him on, "please continue. I guarantee you any insult you could possible say to me, I've heard before." Placing her hands on the counter, her nails idly rapped against the marble tops.

"You see, I have this theory, I think your defiant personality stems from two things," Leaning back on the counter, Emma began to wonder if she was really crossing a line with him. Ah well, if Blake wanted to act like he could handle anything she could throw at him, then she might as well dish out her brutal honesty, "One, you're a typical teenager, who hates authority, and feels entitled. It's all right, Mister Tyrie, you and 1.2 billion of the world's 6.3 billion people feel that way." Emma felt that Blake wasn't that different. He might have felt he was best thing since sliced bread, but every other teenager felt that way as well. "Second, of course, is your lack of trust in anyone who holds some sort of power over you. I think the biggest problem you face each day is keeping up this front to make people think that you're some sort of threat to them." Emma paused, allowing that to sink in. Any other student would likely be in tears at this point. Emma figured that Blake could handle this though.

"The real question should be, what would Blake Tyrie be like without all these fronts?" Emma smirked, oh goodness, was she challenging him? Her smirk certainly suggested it.

Blake raised an eyebrow, watching his Ethics professor trying to urge him on. Blake wasn't sure if she was just trying get a rise out of him just to get him into trouble or if she was really challenging him. Either way, it really didn't make much difference to Blake. Blake didn't really care whether or not he got into trouble. If he did, then he would have stopped acting the way he did a long time ago. Blake, as much as he got into trouble, didn't mind punishment. He taught himself to practically keep doing whatever it was that he was doing, despite the consequences. Blake was just going to let it go anyway but then Ms. Frost drew him in again, telling him that the way he acted could come from two different bases. Blake was intrigued to hear her opinion but her opinion only served to anger Blake in the end.

According to Ms. Frost, Blake was the way he was because he was just a typical teenager or because he was afraid of putting trust into anyone. She then mocked him, wondering what Blake himself would be like if he wasn't who he was at this point in his life. Blake couldn't believe the type of nonsense that came out of his teacher's mouth. He felt like slapping her. Blake got out of his lazy state. He got up from leaning against the fridge and he made her way over to her but he didn't get that close. Blake's facial expression went from stoic with a sneer to just outright anger, however it was softened because he didn't think that something so ignorant would come out of a professor's mouth, so it was somewhat of a shocked look than it was an angry look.

"Don't you ever...make the mistake of thinking that you know me. I am who I am. Did you even think for a second that anyone would even listen to you if you didn't look the way that you did? So don't you ever...ever make assumptions about me when you don't even know who I am? Who the hell are you, what the hell do you know?" Blake said sharply and vengefully as the microwave made a 'ding' sound, signaling that his pizza was ready.

She could see that anger rise in him, and while for a very brief, very single, very quick moment Emma questioned if she overstepped her boundaries, she regained her confidence. As she stopped midway between them, Emma closed the gap. Her face and blue eyes completely devoid of an expression except for a broad smirk across her lips. His attempt for sharp and vengeful words only amused Emma as she listened to his whining monolog about not judging him and not making assumptions. She wanted to roll her eyes, but she kept quiet and allowed him to prattle on. How many other students didn't want to be judged? Didn't want assumptions made about them, and always spouted that 'you don't know me' diatribe every single day? Emma honestly lost count.

"I know more than you think, darling." A finely sculpted brow arched as she tapped a finger to her temple. She began to wonder if he really didn't know that she was a telepath. Ah, it was probably better that he didn't know. That would likely anger him anymore. Granted, if she were younger and more naive she would have taken advantage of this situation a long time ago, but Emma say potential in Blake Tyrie. Potential that perhaps other professors might have overlooked. Or maybe they just didn't see it because they didn't have the sight that Emma did. There was a level of power that came with being a telepath, especially one like Emma Frost and the situation that she was in. With Xavier and Jean gone, Emma was able to take up the mantel of 'Head Telepath'. There was some sort of power in being the only one to work a machine like the Cerebro.

Taking a step from him as the microwave signaled that the pizza was ready, Emma nodded. "Your pizza is ready, Mister Tyrie." Emma was ready to leave and end this conversation. Hopefully he wouldn't be offended if she left while he was eating.

OOC:((Sorry, I was taking care of school stuff, please forgive me!!))

Blake felt that he made his point. Blake thought he was a force to be reckoned with and he hated being underestimated and he hated being put into a category by people who didn't know him. When it comes to that, Blake takes it all as an insult to his pride and soul. He didn't like it when people didn't take him seriously, and usually he would show them why he should be feared, no matter who it was. However, he found something strange amidst. He couldn't bring himself to show Ms. Frost who Blake Tyrie truly was. Blake had his fists clenched when he said what he said. However, strangely, when Ms. Frost approached Blake, thus closing the gap, Blake found his fists unclenched. However, that didn't mean his facial expression or the way he felt changed at all. Blake already knew that fighting a professor would result in him getting expelled, but that wasn't the thing that kept him from doing it. It was something else, something that Blake couldn't put his finger on.

However, one thing was for sure, Blake felt that Ms. Frost knew exactly what to do to make him angry, telling him that she knew more than he thought. As if that wasn't enough, the arched brow and the smirk that she had on her face was more than enough to send Blake over the edge. Blake closed his eyes tightly and opened them, exhaling quietly to hold in his rage. He clenched and unclenched his fists but he ended up stuffing his hands into his black jeans. Blake rolled his eyes once again when Ms. Frost told him that his food was ready. Blake was going to take the pizza into his room, he wasn't interested in eating in the kitchen and he wanted to leave Ms. Frost rather than Ms. Frost leaving him, if it ever came to that situation. Blake walked over to the microwave, opened it, and got the pizza out from inside the microwave.

"If you know what's good for you...you wouldn't do what you just did to me ever again...I'm not like these little students that you boss around, so I suggest that you watch what you say to me from now...that is...if you like the way your face and body looks at this point in time..." Blake said, with a vengeance as he made his way to the exit of the kitchen.
