It's like some kind of terrible, terrible addiction.
I am also throwing a new character out there, an OC to be precise!
Her name's Adelaide Russell or Firefly. She has a permenant field of bio/organic electricity around her and as such can manipulate/interrupt other electric fields, man-made or organic. Like dropping a toaster in a swimming pool!
Anyway, she's the equivalent of the school councillor and an ex-student herself.
