What: Working
When: July 2nd, 2074
Where: Around New Dublin
Rating: TBD (possibly high, it's Digger)
Status: Open / Incomplete

Peace was good for business. But so was war. There was no denying that simple fact. Sure plenty of folks came out of such strife either broken, bloody or dead. Yet the dirty cop always seemed to turn a profit, no matter how bad things got. It paid to be the one burying the bodies. Doubly so when the man was a Neutral party who took contracts from all the major gangs. Sure it was a dangerous position to be in; working closely with so many deadly people but not having any of them truly on his side. Sure it would have been safer to pick a side and stick with it. Hell half the cops on the force were in the pocket of a gang. However Conners kept himself above such concerns...hiring out his services to all the major players, while making it known that he belonged to none.

Death, guns, drugs, and tech. The corrupt cop had worked hard to get a finger in every possible pie in New Dublin. The rules were simple, and widely known. Pay on time, and he'd get the job done. If someone needed killing, a corpse and evidence needed to disappear, or a shipment needed to make it somewhere safely...he was your man. No questions asked, no strings attached. There was no line Digger wouldn't cross, with a single glaring exception. No harm was to come to children. Beyond that the cop was up for anything, provided that it paid.

After getting off the clock from the day job he headed out into the city. A list of jobs already waiting to be handled, bodies that needed to be vanished, and even a contract kill request was on his to do list as well. The city never slept, nor did it's gravedigger. So with a mocha caf-stick dangling from his lip the cop was on the move, eager to see just what the night held in store for him.

While there was no denying that Conners was usually not the most amicable of people, the cop could be civil and even downright decent company as well under the right set of circumstances. Here and now those being a large serving of beef panang, served over steamy white rice, and with a double order of the chicken satay party sticks for the appetizer too. Toss in a tall pint of cold beer and Dig was more then content to sit there quietly at the table; sharing a comfortable silence with Sabrina, as he took a few sips from his ale. It was only after their order had been taken, and the waiter departed once the drinks were dropped off, that the cop finally spoke up.

"Nori and I came here right after this place setup shop in the neighborhood a year or so ago. The food isn't bad, and they never skimp on the seasonings either." Sure the service was usually very quick for the cop, but it likely had less to do with the badge and more to do with the fact that he threatened to kill the owner a long while back. Not because the owner had done anything wrong, but because Riley and Nori had been savoring a bit of alone time...right there on the table in front of everyone. So when the owner came to break things up, well all it took was a look and a quick wave of Conners' gun to get the older man to rapidly decide it was better to let the cop and CoD member do as they pleased.

"I heard a little rumor that even Father is a fan of the pan-fried scallops too."

Sabrina had ordered a small fried rice dish for herself and sat with Officer in mostly silence. She looked up when he mentioned Father and nodded, "yeah, I heard about that. This place is actually quite popular for the Children, as well. I haven't really been here, though. Just had the takeout." It was the most that she had said the entire night, and it was probably going to stay that way.

She took a sip of her own drink as they waited for their food and looked around. She was still getting used to being somewhat important, being an actual CoD member. In their time waiting, she could have explained why the pimp had been trying to get her attention, but she figured that he didn't care to listen to her sob story that lead her to where she was today.
