While there was no denying that Conners was usually not the most amicable of people, the cop could be civil and even downright decent company as well under the right set of circumstances. Here and now those being a large serving of beef panang, served over steamy white rice, and with a double order of the chicken satay party sticks for the appetizer too. Toss in a tall pint of cold beer and Dig was more then content to sit there quietly at the table; sharing a comfortable silence with Sabrina, as he took a few sips from his ale. It was only after their order had been taken, and the waiter departed once the drinks were dropped off, that the cop finally spoke up.
"Nori and I came here right after this place setup shop in the neighborhood a year or so ago. The food isn't bad, and they never skimp on the seasonings either." Sure the service was usually very quick for the cop, but it likely had less to do with the badge and more to do with the fact that he threatened to kill the owner a long while back. Not because the owner had done anything wrong, but because Riley and Nori had been savoring a bit of alone time...right there on the table in front of everyone. So when the owner came to break things up, well all it took was a look and a quick wave of Conners' gun to get the older man to rapidly decide it was better to let the cop and CoD member do as they pleased.
"I heard a little rumor that even Father is a fan of the pan-fried scallops too."
