Cathal made his way around to Marcie's house.

He had a great excuse. His excuse was that he was here to work on the car, maybe check in with Marco, see how Kaden was doing with Animorphs... And if he happened to see Marcie - Marcie who was an excellent kisser, Marcie who had promised she would still be into him by the light of day - well... that would just be fine and a coincidence and he certainly wasn't trying to make it happen.

To say that he'd dreamed about her would be ridiculous. He hadn't had any dreams about her, how silly. He was a grown man.

Celeste let him in, and Cathal cast a glance around as he made his way to the garage. No sign of Marcie in those moments, and so he popped the bonnet and got down to working. She might be out, it was possible. She might not even be around, and she might not (he had to admit) actually be interested while sober and in the light of day, no matter what she'd said.

In that case, no one could prove he was here for anything but the car.

"Yeah, once or twice." Marcie smiled back at Cathal, feeling properly happy to be in his arms. The wrongness she'd felt that time with Hermes, of it being too soon, that had gone. She was doing her bit to look after Tragos' brother. She didn't need to hang on to him anymore.

Her legs relaxed down onto the bed, but it felt good to have Cathal's weight and warmth between her thighs. "Takes one to know one," she added, looking down at his chest.

He smiled at the compliment thrown his way and kissed her again. As much as he didn't really want to move, the integrity of the condom system really demanded it. So he reached down between the two of them so he could get a hold of it as he pulled out of Marcie. There was no real casual way to deal with it - or, if there was, Cathal lacked the smoothness and skill to make it happen - so he didn't try to be overly sneaky about tying a knot in it and dropping it into the bin on the other side of the bed.

But then he lay back down and reached an arm out for her. "C'mere," he told her softly, a smile on his lips and in his voice. He just wanted Marcie against him for a little while longer, an arm wrapped around her. This felt comfortable and good.

	She paused, and then smiled as she nestled in next to him, his arm making a very fine pillow. She let her leg rest across his and rested her hand on his chest. "You smell so good," she commented, still able to get the cologne, mixed with the sweaty scent of him. She never had been able to fake it with a guy who she didn't like the smell of. "Mmmm," Cathal said, laying a kiss on her slightly sweaty hair and then nuzzling his nose against it a little. "So do you actually." He'd wondered if there might be some post-first time awkwardness, but he felt calm and relaxed, his heart slowly returning to a regular rhythm.

He tilted his head a little so that he could see her face, smiling at how beautiful she was with those flushed cheeks. "How was this for a first date?" he asked. "I don't usually end them like this..."

Marcie tilted her head up to look at him. "Is it over already?" she asked, stroking her fingers lightly through his chest hair. "There's still that wine in the fridge... it's not like I have a curfew..." She definitely wasn't in a hurry to stop things now. The night was still young, and give it a glass of wine and half an hour, and she would definitely be keen to go again. Cathal looked just as hot naked as she thought he would.

Cathal smiled more brightly at her words and reached his free hand up to to hold of Marcie's hand on his chest. "No," he said, "this date can continue for as long as you want it." The idea of sitting around with Marcie in bed, half naked and drinking wine and talking- that all sounded so nice.

He leaned down and kissed her, the angle a little awkward but the delightful newness of it making up for that.
