WHO: Pandora & Prometheus
WHEN: Christmas morning
WHERE: Prometheus' studio
WHAT: Heathen Christmas times!

It was near 11am on Christmas Day and the people that Pandora greeted in the street on her walk to Prometheus' studio were, for the most part, cheerful and full of holiday spirit. It wasn't a terrible thing, this day. All the decorations and the Christmas music got a bit too much, but people were nice. She thought humanity could stand to be a little nicer to each other in general.

Stepping over puddles, Pandora held tight to the two small wrapped gifts in her arms: a illustrated third edition of Frankenstein (that she'd spent a lot of money on, but justified that it was the money of her current paramour so didn't matter) and a box of cigars.

Knocking on Prometheus' door, Pandora waited with a bright smile for him to answer.

"So they keep telling me," he was half surprised his mother hadn't shown to drag him out of solitude. He figured she was probably busy. "You didn't. Me and sleep aren't good friends."

He moved to the stairs and motioned for her to follow as he walked into his living space. It wasn't as messy and disorganized anymore. Ever since Aletheia moved in he made sure to keep things neat.

"Maybe I should have bought you one of those white noise machines," Pandora said with a little smile, mostly joking. "I hear they're good."

Pandora followed him upstairs and looked around with a little surprise. "It's different up here," Pandora said to him, not wanting to mention that different meant less messy.

He laughed at that, making her the coffee and then handing it to her. "Here you are, and yeah. Aletheia doesn't need to live in a mess place. I keep it straightened out the best I can for her sake. And I would probably get annoyed at the machine. But it's nice of you to offer."

Pandora sat down, holding her coffee in both hands and feeling the warmth seep into her fingers. Outside was cold, but she was warming up now that she was inside. "I forgot you have Aletheia with you now. Is it nice to have her living with you?"

"It is," he offered with a nod. "I get lost if I'm by myself and she gives me reason to look out for her and make sure I don't become a recluse." he smiled at that, "And she's my daughter. It's nice knowing she's safe."

"I understand," Pandora said with a small smile. Elpis wasn't her daughter, but she always watched over her in a maternal manner. Her own daughter was a thing long gone and unlikely to have the belief to ever return, and Pandora had accepted that. She didn't really remember much about her, just a story in a book.

"Have you been working over the holidays?" Pandora asked him, taking a sip of her coffee. "Anything interesting?"

"I don't really celebrate until someone reminds me." Even Bess had to make sure he'd remember, but he'd always had. He figured he should probably send her something either way. "And just commissions. My Mother still wants to get a gallery going but I'm putting her off with telling her I'm working on a theme." He wasn't a big people person. He'd just taken the offer because he figured it would entertain his mother.

At the mention of his mother, Pandora tried not to visibly squirm in her seat. She didn't have the highest opinion of either of his parents, seeing as Klymene had ordered her death and Iapatos had carried it out. As well as threatening to do it again if Pandora didn't keep away from her sons.

And yet here she was at Prometheus' place, ignoring that command and risking death to spend time with a Titan who wasn't even all that fond of her.

"You'd earn a lot from a gallery show," she told him, because physical wealth was an important thing to Pandora. She liked nice things and it pleased her the times when her attraction to artistic souls crossed over and they were people who earned money as well. Her current paramour was just a banker, but that was okay. "People must go mad over your work."

He shrugged at her assessment. Wealth had never bothered him. He'd always had enough to be comfortable. It had been different with Bess, but she'd expected to have a suitable lifestyle and he'd endeavored to make her life a happy one. "I make enough from commissions. I don't worry about that."

"My name isn't that big." He figured that irritated his mother as well. Klymene was big on fame. He had had enough of the limelight, especially with the amount of Olympians in the city. "And I kind of like it that way. I have a good client base. Besides I'm not good with crowds." He loved humanity, but he was never a good people person. "I'd just be awkward."

"I didn't mean because you were famous," Pandora said with a shake of her head. "I meant because your work is incredible. There's no one who can do what you do."

Then she smiled at him, bright and cheerful. "Then if only we could be one person, as I am wonderful with crowds and barely know the meaning of awkward."

"Hephaestus can," he offered with no venom in his voice. He respected the Smith-God's ability and his skill. He worked in clay while Hephaestus worked with metal. There was a difference, but still a place to learn from. "And I can always get better."

He chuckled and sat down, "All my troubles would be erased then. I love humanity, but talking to them is harder. I have no idea how I managed to draw Jade and Aidan to me."

"Hephaestus can," Pandora agreed. "I've heard he's made some rather irresistibly beautiful things in the past." The small smirk on her lips was somewhat self-deprecating and it was quite clear she was talking about herself.

"I'm sure you have skills that attracted them," Pandora said, and there was a different smirk then. She tried not to remember the Valentine's Day she and Prometheus had shared last year, but she did seem to recall it hadn't been terrible at the time.
