There wasn't a good enough word to explain just how excited Helen was to see her brothers again. They were, quite literally, her heroes on more than one occasion and they were her favorite siblings. They meant the world to her and just having them around again made her feel more whole and accepted. Even with Patroclus' attention and love there was still a lot of hate she felt from others, particularly his friends. Especially Achilles. But she wasn't about to let him get her down. Besides, she had proven herself and that's all that mattered.
She had to look stunning tonight. Even if she didn't view her brothers as potential mates (especially considering she was committed to Patroclus) she had to look her best. Admiration from men was something she would always seek, even from her own blood. After all, she was a daughter of Zeus.
With that in mind, she had gone shopping the moment she had secured dinner for that evening. Buying new clothes was one of her favorite pastimes and she ended up for at least a dozen new outfits. But only one dress had won in being selected as her attire that night. She checked herself in the mirror every chance she could, making sure her legs were smooth and silky, her hair just where she wanted it, her lipstick the right shade. She smiled adoringly at herself in the mirror and for a second she had the urge to kiss her own reflect, but stopped when she heard Patroclus nearby. She stepped out of the bathroom and smiled sweetly at him, "You aren't nervous are you?" She wrapped her arms around his shoulders. "My brothers will love you and you them. You have a lot on your side. Me, for one," she said and kissed his cheek. "There's also the fact that you didn't steal me away from home in the dead of night." She giggled at herself. She felt so giddy and excited she could hardly contain herself.
