Who: Castor, Helen, Patroclus, Pollux
What: Favorite brothers meet new beau!
When: Friday evening
Where: Helen's place
Warnings: We'll see...

There wasn't a good enough word to explain just how excited Helen was to see her brothers again. They were, quite literally, her heroes on more than one occasion and they were her favorite siblings. They meant the world to her and just having them around again made her feel more whole and accepted. Even with Patroclus' attention and love there was still a lot of hate she felt from others, particularly his friends. Especially Achilles. But she wasn't about to let him get her down. Besides, she had proven herself and that's all that mattered.

She had to look stunning tonight. Even if she didn't view her brothers as potential mates (especially considering she was committed to Patroclus) she had to look her best. Admiration from men was something she would always seek, even from her own blood. After all, she was a daughter of Zeus.

With that in mind, she had gone shopping the moment she had secured dinner for that evening. Buying new clothes was one of her favorite pastimes and she ended up for at least a dozen new outfits. But only one dress had won in being selected as her attire that night. She checked herself in the mirror every chance she could, making sure her legs were smooth and silky, her hair just where she wanted it, her lipstick the right shade. She smiled adoringly at herself in the mirror and for a second she had the urge to kiss her own reflect, but stopped when she heard Patroclus nearby. She stepped out of the bathroom and smiled sweetly at him, "You aren't nervous are you?" She wrapped her arms around his shoulders. "My brothers will love you and you them. You have a lot on your side. Me, for one," she said and kissed his cheek. "There's also the fact that you didn't steal me away from home in the dead of night." She giggled at herself. She felt so giddy and excited she could hardly contain herself.

Patroclus smiled and he kissed her cheek back so he didn't mess up her lipstick. "Well here's for not stealing," he said with a wink. "I'm not terribly nervous. Maybe just a little. I hope they like me."

Castor was in a good mood, but then again how could he not be when they'd be spending time with Helen? Admittedly, the thought of meeting some boy toy of hers over dinner dulled his enjoyment slightly, but not enough for it to be visible in his smile.

Dressed in a dark blue button-down, black slacks, and a black sports coat, he came bearing gifts -- a bottle of white wine in one hand and fresh flowers in the other. Pausing to wait for Pollux, he knocked at Helen's door and waited for her to answer.

Pollux wasn't far behind his brother, having parked the car while Castor went ahead. Seeing their sister after so long felt surreal, he wasn't sure how to feel about it. He missed her greatly, but to him she had the terrible ability to attract the wrong sort of men. Pollux wouldn't be so easily swayed over how much she liked him. He would wait for the idiot to make a mistake and then have some fun with his face.

Taking the stairs quickly, he stopped just behind his brother. Pollux had viewed the dinner as more relaxed, as he would, he dressed in black jeans, running shoes, a white wife-beater with a grey pinstriped t-shirt over it, and a leather jacket.

The possibility of her brothers not liking Patroclus hadn't crossed Helen's mind. It wasn't exactly a concern for her since she and her brothers were so close. But no matter, because even if she got even the slightest hint of dislike she would figure out some way of distracting everyone.

hen she heard the knock on the door she froze and squealed in excitement. "They're here!" She gave Patroclus one last kiss before hurrying to the door. Just about anyone else would have been left to wait at least a couple of minutes, but her brothers were far too important to leave outside for too long.

As the door swung open and her gaze fell on Castor and then Pollux her smile only grew, as did her very girlish squeal. It was like being a little girl again, excited at the prospect of playing with her favorite brothers. She bounced on her toes as she gave each of them a tight hug. "I can't believe it's you! Come in, come in!" she said after letting go and stepping back into the apartment.

Patroclus waited in the background, feeling apprehensive. He was convinced Helen's brothers would hate him and why not? Everyone who knew them seemed to disapprove of their relationship. Why not two more. Expect Helen actually cared about the opinions of Castor and Pollux and that terrified Patroclus. He loved Helen and he didn't want to lose her.

He smiled shyly at them, but hung back so they could have their reunion first. It was how it should be.

Sparing a glance at Pollux, Castor inwardly shook his head at his twins' mote relaxed attire, though any thoughts of saying something flew from his head the minute Helen greeted them. Hugging her back carefully, he waited until she was done hugging Pollux before offering the wine and flowers. A quick nod was spared towards Patroclus, acknowledging his presence.

"Of course it's us, darling, who else could it be?" he responded happily to Helen, a smile on his face. "Nice place you've got here, sis. Do we get a tour?" Waiting to see what she'd say, he took the initiative and approached Patroclus, extending a hand. "You must be the boyfriend, Helen's mentioned we're to be on our best behavior with you. I'm Castor, and that bloke's Pollux. And who're you?"

Squeezing his sister with most of his strength, he didn't want to let go. It had been far too long and family seemed far more important than it ever had with them getting back together again. His eyes glanced back at Patroclus, looking him up and down suspiciously. He didn't have the same outlook of politeness as his brother did. Pollux was after all hanging out with all the wrong crowds with his MMA fighting.

"Yeah, how many twins do you really know that would come knocking on your door?" Pollux added. Letting his sister go, he stepped inside and looked around the immediate vicinity. She really did have a nice place, better decorated than any man's house. When Castor introduced him, Pollux waved from behind him and rolled his eyes slightly at having to be on their best behaviour.

Helen just beamed happily at her brothers. There was nothing quite the same in the world as having your two very favorite siblings in the same room. Oh the shenanigans they could get into. "Of course you do," she responded to Castor.

She then rolled her eyes at her brothers in turn, following them back inside. She hurried over to save Patroclus before anything really happened. "This is Patroclus," she said, officially introducing them. "I think you'll recognize the name." Patroclus had been one of her suitors once. Now he actually had her on his arm.
