Sloth lay on her back on the floor of the living room and stared at the ceiling, her eyes following the cracks and counting the spiders. There was a party-sized bag of Doritos on the floor nearby and she was slowly crunching them down, barely registering the motion even as cheesy crumbs scattered across her crop top. My Chemical Romance was wailing at a very high volume through the speaker close by. She'd been out last night, got wasted, got rejected, and this was her way of dealing with it.

The guy was a fucking junkie, where did he get off telling her she was too skinny and flat-assed for him? She'd shown him flat on his ass when the Black Dog had come for him. Stupid fuck. Gerard Way had the right of it.

It sounded like there was a story to catch up on. Feeding people to gators sounded epic. Were they alive when it had happened? Sloth bit her lip, fiddling with the cuff of her hoodie, and frowned tightly. "So you can just fuck off when you like, and come back when you like, and who gives a fuck about anyone else?" she said, trying to sound like she didn't care while very desperately, deeply caring.

Sloth pulled a face at Envy and fell silent, stewing over Envy's treatment of her. She didn't want to just forgive everything, but she was so bad at the silent treatment when she just didn't want to be overlooked. If she tried to sulk for too long, maybe Envy would just give up on her and never come back.

After a long moment, Sloth eventually said, "Did you really feed people to gators?"

	Oh thank fuck. Envy lit up at that and she nodded. "I lured them to this swamp house I had," she explained, "sometimes with sex, sometimes with art.
