Jeff shrugged. "Apparently, he was a faithful attendant to the prophet Elijah and his successor." He squinted at the page and scribbled through a section on the first form and turned to the next. "Is that Anne with or without an 'e'?"
Might as well get that right off the bat.
The small print was being annoying, so he set the clipboard and pen down long enough to pull out his glasses case.
"Well," he said, slipping them on, "I'm not younger by much, but yeah. Sixteen is just too young. Don't we have enough of a viable population for this program without getting kids involved?" The form looked more legible now and he continued to fill it out, if a little faster than before. "Green is a nice color. So is blue. We're back to your dress there. Looks really good on you just..." He slid her a look. "Don't bend over too much, okay? I'll lose my train of thought and I don't want to screw up the ceremony."
Jeff cleared his throat and returned to the forms. "I'm allergic to peanuts. I should where a medic alert bracelet for that one, too, and I know better." He sighed. "You get one for latex, I get one for peanuts. Deal?"
