IC/OOC: Mungo's Visitations
Who: Lex & ANYONE
Where: St. Mungo's.
What: Visitors? Lex needs love.
When: After the Montrose-Catapults match.
ETA: Lex will be in Mungo's for 5 days, thanks to random rolling. She'll be going home on the 14th.

Lex is sent straight from the pitch to St. Mungo's. An hour or two after the match ends she's finally allowed visitors, though the Mungo's staff tries in vain to limit it to 1 or 2 visitors at a time, insisting Lex needs her rest. (However, there are ways of sneaking in more people) By the time they let her have visitors, Lex is doing her best to joke and entertain her visitors. Those that know her might notice that she fidgets with the sheets and is biting her lip every now and then. She's been told by the staff to "wait and see" about when she can return to quidditch and this is the same type of injury that took Peppard out. She's a little freaked out by that but is trying not to let it show. Come distract her!

“I can’t imagine mum would let me have a small wedding.”

She ran a hand through her hair and looked at Aureliana. “You don’t get it, do you? You do everything perfectly and I’ve never been good at that. I was never going to be the perfect daughter. Quidditch is the one thing I was good at. Whatever the wedding - whether it was small or big — I’d find a way to muck it up or do something inappropriate. This was ... easier.”

Lex bit her lip, scratching at the bandage on her head, “I didn’t mean to make things worse for you.. I was trying to make them easier..”

	Her hand flew to her mouth to stifle a gasp. "Perfect?" Aureliana shook her head. "I am far from perfect." She was cold and calculating, without much of a backbone when it came down to it. “More obedient.. more behaved.. more girly... more of what mother wanted..” the words weren’t said in anger buts with a quiet acceptance. Lex has long ago learnt she wasn’t going to be able to be the perfect daughter and she wasn’t going to be. Besides, having Aureliana full that roll meant that lex had a bit more freedom to be herself.

“And I’m sure mother has a long list of what she would have preferred for me.” Lex shrugged and fought the urge to pick at the bandage on her head again.

“You can do all the social events and whatnot so we’ll and make it look effortless while I’m happier drinking a bottle of whiskey in a pub with the boys.”

Her hands twisted at the sheets. “Ana, look.. we’ve always been different but I love you just as much as I love Mel. And I’m sorry that my actions fucked things up for you. But right now, the only thing I’ve ever been good at is in jeopardy and no one will tell me when I can get back on the pitch.” Or if, but she was keeping that to herself. “And I just need my big sister..”

Aureliana had always been happy to fill that role because as much as she wished it were otherwise, she was a people pleaser. If she could make her parents happy and thereby make life easier for the rest of her siblings, she had seen nothing wrong with that. Though maybe, Aureliana could allow, she had become resentful of the fact.

"They might not know," Aureliana said softly. "I know that's not the news you want to hear, but you don't want them to lie to you."

	Lex just leans back against the pillows and huffs out a sigh at that. It sounds like a typical PR answer and that's not what Lex wants to hear. She knows that at their age, being injured for a season can mean the end of a career. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
