Congratulations to my team on their amazing win! Did a Captain proud, even if I missed the end of the game.

Dawn Withey, you are a beast, and I salute you.

[ Portree+ ]

Pretty sure I'm going to be okay. Broken ribs can be fixed. And with the long break we have... I'll probably be fine and back into form for the the next match.

Chasers, you stole the show and the match. Meaghan, amazing as always. Luag, we did great and thanks for holding down the game after I was out. And Pip, you're golden no matter what.

That's good then. Boredom's the worst.

I'm alright. Got to rest the leg for a few days, but it's muscle and not bone. It'll be grand.

Good job we've got the big gap, really.

Absolutely. So, they're colouring and I'm making Christmas lists.

That's good. And you'll have plenty of time o heal up.

But I've got to say, you were amazing out there. All three of you really. We're going to keep this up.

And I'm sure they have their opinions on that too, aye?

That's the plan. Ada's looking out for me, and I'm pretty sure the cats know I'm not supposed to be about. They keep sitting on me.

I'm happy to keep working on it, but we're definitely on the up.

I meant my planning lists... but yes they keep having ideas about what they want. Fergus wants his own broom.

That's good you got company then. Make sure they don't sit on your leg.

SO up! Can't lose it.

Ah, when my brother and I were small we'd still be interfering with Mum getting things organised. Strong opinions too, if I remember rightly. First broom?

I swear the kittens are part kneazle, because they've definitely been sitting on my chest to try and stop me moving. Or, alternatively, the other leg.

Well, that's a season top score either way, so I'm definitely all for making sure we keep momentum going.

Rhonna is a bit too young to do much interfering, but Fergus is definitely making some suggestions. Yes his first one! He wants to be a quidditch player, imagine that?

That's definitely a possibility. Or cats are just intuitive like that.

Well we know what it's like to do this well. It's up to us to keep going.

Ah, I wonder where he gets that notion from?

Cats are arseholes usually...

Naebody's going to do it for us, so we've got to keep going. Once allowed back on a broom at any rate.

No idea. It's a mystery!

So they're sitting on you just so you don't move but not for your benefit?

Yup. We've got a long break to heal up but we don't want to waste it either.

People will think he's influenced by Quidditch next.

I'm still trying to work it out. I don't think it's malice, because I think they're smart enough to figure out that pinning me here for too long reduces their chances of getting fed when they want.

Absolutely.

Yup it's Quidditch's fault. Not the parents.

WHICH BY THE WAY! It was amazing getting to meet your father at the Gala! I was a huge fan when he played for Portree.

They are cats. They don't have to behave reasonably.

Well, Quidditch definitely starts it all...

I won't be telling him that, he'll only get a big head!

Ours certainly don't. They occasionally deign to allow cuddles from obedient humans, but that's it.

Certainly does.

Oh don't worry, I already told him.

I keep thinking we might get pets, but nothing compares to dragons.

It'll be grand, we have enough ammunition between us to deflate his ego if it gets too big.

I feel like cats might give dragons a run for their money in terms of ego... but at least they fit inside your house?

He's still one of my favourite beaters though.

Yes, Dragons are definitely outside pets. Only the babies fit in the house.

We just need to work on ensuring he isn't the team's favourite Buchanan!

...I now have the mental image of you lot curling up on the couch with a small dragon on your laps. Please tell me that actually happens...

Well of course not. That spot's already taken.

Ha, not much now since I don't live on the reserve anymore. Sometimes when I'm visiting Ellie. She has the dragonlings next to her place.

She is pretty fabulous.

Because of baby dragons obviously. Or because it helps with my bad ass rep?

I hear that frequently...

I just enjoy the thought of the wee ones curling up on the rug and topping up the dire...

Ha, if only they were that cooperative. More likely to set the rug on fire.
