Man, after karaoke night and the whole not being able to invite people back to mine to party on I was raring to go on getting my own proper place, but I swear Scrim and I have looked at every rental in northern Scotland and every single one of them won't do. My needs are not ginormous! I just want room to turn around, a bathroom that doesn't look like I'd be dirtier after using it, and electricity so I can blast Madonna and Britney as necessary. Oh, and so I can get a television, because it turns out the blokes down the pub don't mind if you switch off the footy now and then but not actually every night. I am missing episodes, what if I never find out what Nick said to--

Anyway, I cannot find a place. Well, I did find one or two places that were maaaaybe not awful, but they were only for one. I am not really an only-for-one sort of girl. So... ugh. I dunno what I do next. Look further out, I guess? Edinburgh, Glasgow... London, even?

Oh, also, thanks to my wonderful Priders for that epic karaoke night. I can't remember if I said on the night but I had a blast, youse are the best. Let's do it again sometime, I wanna do Christina Aguilera.

Is this your way you're saying you are, in fact, a genie in a bottle?

Pop songs are a thing of glory and often make no sense.

Consider, if you will, the recent international hit I'm Blue by Eiffel 65. In which the chorus proudly repeats:
"I'm blue da ba dee da ba daa
Da ba dee da ba daa, da ba dee da ba daa, da ba dee da ba daa
Da ba dee da ba daa, da ba dee da ba daa, da ba dee da ba daa"

Oh my god, I always thought it was "I'm blue and I will beat up a guy", I am going to smack Tasha when I get home.

Sugar pie honey bunch... you need to switch teams so you can come to karaoke night!

I would, except for I make this look good. This being all black and channelling my inner Will Smith/Agent Jay.

Assuming you'll still have me, I have been known to sing a few tunes and wouldn't turn down karaoke.

Here come the men in black.

Oh! Or maybe in black and white, actually?

I mean, it seems unfair, all of us and only one of you...

I don't know, I am at least worth three people - four if you count Mandela.

There would be the option to open it up to others? Maybe have a big event after the Classic. Some type of Sing Off for the real bragging rights.

You reckon your lot would be up for that? I am still unclear on the precise boundaries of this epic rivalry shit, which is why I could probably get away with dragging my bunch along to a Sing Off because they assume I'm a ditz and don't know any better. Well, probably. Coach might be an issue. But how d'you reckon you'd go?

Dogs are totally cheating, you have to win on your own cuteness points.

I think for Montrose, there's more an understanding that what happens on the field and what happens off it aren't the same thing. Honestly, if there is alcohol and food, I can't really see any major protests.

I would hope they would see it as goo fun.

And Mandela is an extension of my being, not cheating at all.

I think my lot would approach it the same way. I say we do this shit.

We just went to an open karaoke night in London last time, but maybe if we're getting more focused about this we don't want the randoms involved as well? Whaddya think?

Oh, so Mandela is like your cuteness-support dog? And here was me thinking you could manage on your own.

Taking over a regular pub might be fun. Get more of a crowd that way than just keeping it a strictly magic affair.

The technical term is companion animal, but I won't lie and say he doesn't give me a few extra points, which certainly doesn't hurt.
