Well, given their timing, I haven't been able to go to a Neep match before (there's also the whole thing about not being Scottish and not supporting a Scottish team as my primary squad, but there you are). Being able to go today, though, was certainly quite the sight to see. I'm not sure what would be better though - seeing things from an entirely neutral perspective, or being absolutely passionate about it and not getting the result you want. I mean, the amount of passion down our end alone would be enough to take your ears off - I can't begin to think what it was like down in the patches with a high concentration of Montrose or Portree fans...

It's always an interesting match up to see. I think more so this year with how highly both teams are ranked.

Both being top 3 teams certainly would make it more competitive. And possibly more stressful to watch, I dunno. But I can imagine if there was a massive gap in rankings that the lower team would be more determined to put on a showing, too.

There is stress, but I think the key word in all of this is "showing."

I guess what comes first doesn't matter a bit if a team still has chance to come back, mathematically speaking.

I'm usually in the thick of the Montrose fans so it was quite sad and lonely hearing it in the distance in the med tent. I'm sorry to say that it doesn't look like the Harpies will be in the playoffs, but you're welcome to come cheer for us!

Yeah, I doubt they will be, so that needs to change next season or there'll be some very cross fans down our end of things!

I do like an underdog, though, so I might have to pick a second team to follow as well!

If you're looking for a team that wasn't expected, I'd say Wigtown. Nobody thought that Wigtown would make it but they came back hard against us! So they definitely fit the scrappy underdog model.

Plus Archie Ives is a hoot and their girls are lovely.

I've been looking at their recent run, and it seems like they're doing pretty well, given early season form. And their team is fully behind the pink movement, right? So I feel like it wouldn't be a bad choice.

Archie Ives is the only Muggleborn coach in the league, so they're completely behind the pink. Anyone who was against it wouldn't work with him, most likely.

That'd be a weird as hell set of values.

I know there are people who feel that wearing pink has become compulsory and, perhaps, something of an empty gesture. And anyone who actually worked with the Order of the Phoenix or was involved in people-smuggling during the war is entitled to feel that way. So I suppose it's possible, but it's definitely difficult to navigate.

And I don't mean that awful Rita Skeeter, though she's exactly the sort of person I'd think might wear pink without meaning it. Mostly because I'm not convinced anything she says means anything.
