IC/OOC: Unconventional training session
Who: Pride players (Ellie assumes Tor is invited, and last minute invites Cav)
Where: MacFusty Dragon Reserve
What: Agility drills with dragons. Lots of dodging unexpected things. Bonfire and social at the end of the night.
When: Sunday, 1 October noon and onward

The team had been instructed to arrive at the Reserve between noon and 12:30. Ellie and her sister Davina will be there to great them and direct them to where they are meeting. Their meeting location is actually the starting line for Winter Solstice Broom Race (that goes from the Reserve to Montrose -- more thoughts on this later), so there is place to set up. Also it is a reasonable area for people to be flying brooms through with managed risk.

As people are arriving, other members of the MacFusty clan are about keen to give people tours. Ellie will very happily direct people to where the young dragons nest.

At 12:30 there will be a brief team meeting going over the goals for the day before everyone takes to their brooms. Of note, neither of the seekers are present. If prompted Ellie will say they have been excused ahead of an intensive seeker training tomorrow.

At 1pm, people will take to their brooms for an afternoon of weird training drills. More about these drills below. Also please feel free to add your own.

Ellie's goal for the day is to work on agility. The season has been tough and it's not going to get any easier. There is a lot for everyone to prove this year. She is fully committed to taking the reigns and pushing the team out of their comfort zone. No one every really succeeded by resting on their laurels.

She can appreciate that some people, okay a lot of people, can be nervous around dragons, but you bunch of wankers play fecking quidditch with iron balls zooming into you at fast speeds. Dragons are the least of your worries. So we're going to have some fun today. You're probably going to take a few hits, but you're going to shake it off and keep going.

	Alasdair is, despite certain reservations about what the hell the media's reaction would be if this got out (he's saying nothing about that though), willing to participate. He's going with the wild notion that Ellie doesn't actually want to kill any of her players, just test them, so they're going to be OK. Right..? (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	At this point in time, Ellie does not want to kill anyone. It's going to be okay. She secretly hopes that the media finds out and runs wild with this. She also thinks Gwen might kill her for it, but she'll ask for forgiveness later. Plus this is why she did mention it to Cav just this morning. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	By the end of the team meeting, Joy's finished her coffee and is ready and raring to go. This sounds like much more her sort of thing than precision formation drills or somesuch, so she's pretty excited to get into it actually! (Reply to this) (Parent)

Meaghan just wants to be sure there's going to be stuff that relates to HER position too and this isn't just going to be mostly-chaser-specific. Keeper's pretty different because you're stuck in a relatively small area and you have to guard the hoops so while dodging's a thing still, there's only so far you can fly. Chasers and beaters got the whole pitch to work with but she doesn't.

Like, she trusts you coach, but she's still gonna bring it up.

	Ellie will take this feedback into play and adapt a round of drill #1 to have a limited amount of space to move around and continue to doge things. Ellie is very interested in Meaghan being able to maneuver and not get hit as so far this season the beaters have been going for the keepers hard. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
