IC/OOC: Portree Meets the New Consulting Coach
Who: Bart Roberts and a cast of dozen(s)
What: First Day Coaching
When: All day Jan 9th
Where: Portree Practice Pitch and offices.
Warnings:

Graham had an agenda prepared for Bart. It was going to be a busy day. The morning was going to be spent with management and the afternoon with the team. Lorna had the morning drills covered, possibly following Ellie's notes. She'd have no trouble keeping the players busy. At least it wasn't one of the days the charity practice, where half the team, including Lorna, were off with McGonagall.

10:00 Management meeting

11:00 PR (Gwen/Bart)(discuss any interviews he’ll do).

12:30 Team Leadership meeting (captain/field coaches).

13:00 Team Meeting.

13:30-16:00: Afternoon practice and one-on-ones.

18:00 Dinner with Bas and Graham

Six years at Quiberon means that, while not fully ‘French’ in his style of play, the smooth passing and swooping flight typical to French teams has crept its way in to the moves he picked up when he first went pro with the Wanderers. As Alasdair obliges by arranging some passing drills, it’s clear that his handling is distinctly more common among the Scottish players, right up until the point where they run the manoeuvres that show each Chaser at their best. When passing to Joy, whose placement is well known to be at odd angles to the goal hoops, he flicks his wrist quickly to wherever she happens to be, the power coming from his elbow. When passing to Scrimmy, it’s fast so she can catch the momentum to put the oomph behind the shot she is known for. When it’s his own shots he’s taking, he tilts his shoulder as he throws, spinning the Quaffle to make it harder for the Keeper to get hold of. Once or twice it’s even on purpose to get the Keeper to deflect, the quaffle going right back to one of the other Chasers on the rebound.

He’s such a Ravenclaw.
