IC/OOC: Portree Meets the New Consulting Coach
Who: Bart Roberts and a cast of dozen(s)
What: First Day Coaching
When: All day Jan 9th
Where: Portree Practice Pitch and offices.
Warnings:

Graham had an agenda prepared for Bart. It was going to be a busy day. The morning was going to be spent with management and the afternoon with the team. Lorna had the morning drills covered, possibly following Ellie's notes. She'd have no trouble keeping the players busy. At least it wasn't one of the days the charity practice, where half the team, including Lorna, were off with McGonagall.

10:00 Management meeting

11:00 PR (Gwen/Bart)(discuss any interviews he’ll do).

12:30 Team Leadership meeting (captain/field coaches).

13:00 Team Meeting.

13:30-16:00: Afternoon practice and one-on-ones.

18:00 Dinner with Bas and Graham

Scrimmy realizes she's the only one of the current chasers who's worked with Roberts (wow that makes her feel weird) and she looks quiet and nervy about it.

She's worried that Roberts will see her as the reserve he once knew. She's gotten better, she knows it! And her numbers are looking up and their chaser crew work together really well, so she knows it's a bit stupid to worry this much but well there's been a lot of upheaval in less than a season on one team. At least having that Wasps match under her belt makes her feel better, and she reminds herself of it to reassure herself.

Scrimmy really wants to ask the other chasers if they can do something cool or whatever for him to see. But she's a bit too quiet moody/nervous to ask them outright at the start and may need a bit of prodding.

Alasdair is definitely sensing her mood and stands beside her at one point while they’re on the ground, bumping her shoulder a bit. He tilts his head down to suggest the names of a couple of the set pieces they debuted so successfully against the Wasps - dynamic, varying in heights and positions, showcasing all the Chasers’ talents... and, most importantly, something the Wasps Keeper just didn’t see coming.

Scrimmy bumps him back (though it's more in his side than his shoulder) and nods at the suggestion, feeling lucky Alasdair's their lead chaser. Wasps formations are exactly what make her feel better, even if they aren't their most used strategies, they were the most successful ones. And they definitely make the whole chaser crew look smooth and confident.

Alasdair is glad at the returned gesture, happier about what they do when the women he’s flying with aren’t doubting themselves. Nor are any of them divas - despite being very different players, they’re all happy to make each other look good, praise when due and support whichever player is dominating at the time.

“Shall we?” he asks, gesturing to where their brooms are racked up.
