As half of you lot know already, I'm heading out to Canada for a bit on New Year's Day. I'll be back before you have a chance to miss me, but if there's anything you lot want me to bring you back from far-off places, now's your chance to beg for loot. Speak now or forever hold your peace.

Tobermory does a very nice fireworks on Hogmanay, if you reckon your lass might be interested. I've signed up with my brothers to take a band of my nieces and nephews out to the Muggle side for the holiday. We're going ice skating, the weans love that, then to the hotel for supper and games, then out to the clock tower to see the fireworks show. Reckon you and Lynn might want to join?

Mull in wintertime is cold and white and wet. Well spotted, wee niece. She'll love it in summertime, though. Not a better place in all the world to be a kid in summertime, in my very unbiased opinion.

Sure, the more the merrier. If your lass and her friend don't have skates, we can set them up with some. Is it a Muggle friend or from Hogwarts? Our weans are good with Muggle stuff, but they can tend to be a wee bit indiscreet among themselves.

I met their mother on platform nine and three quarters. She called Florrie 'Mrs. McGregor', because she was helping me get Lynn settled, and by helping me get her settled, she was asking those questions about girl things that are too embarrassing coming from an Uncle.
