Welcome to the season break.
It is a dreadful time.
Players are known to get bored.
And make bad choices.

Also the fans, ever do they miss our matches and the ~~drama~~ excitement.

So. Merc and I were ~~drinking~~ talking and we ~~demanded~~ suggested a friendly.
And not just an ordinary friendly, a mixed up match up friendly.

In the spirit of Scottish unity and pride.
But also to see if he could handle half of my players.
He cried at the thought, but quickly recovered and accepted such a challenge.
For charity ... unity ... and friendship!

Essentially, it will give the players something during the break
Keep our fans engaged over the long winter nights.
And maybe even to get out the vote

I mean, nothing says vote like quidditch matches.

	Crying? Really? At least make the insults vaguely realistic. But the rest of what Elsie has said stands. Mix and match of scottish teams before the next bloc and near the vote time (or on, I'm not fussed, you pick). Gets the players back in playing shape, it's fun for the fans, and easy enough to tie into something surely. (Reply to this) (Thread)

As our promotion of the vote involves Wigtown, they should be included. Wigtown fans are extremely sensitive to any perceived slight, and if the goal here is a show of Scottish unity it would be in poor taste not to include all three Scottish teams. I'll loop Wigtown's administration in to this conversation shortly.

I suggest a Saturday to draw the biggest crowd, either the 6th or the 13th. I'll have our admin liaise with the BIL and DOMGAS to determine which stadium might be safe to use either of those days.

If you haven't come up with a charity, I have a few suggestions to tie in with our get-out-the-vote campaign. Aureliana and I will get together with Wigtown's Ms. Singh to do publicity. Let us know as soon as possible when you have a lineup sorted for this; I'd like to put them about early to stir up interest.

Aside from the logistics of when and where and for what, we'll need to sort out uniforms, mascots, referees, equipment, sponsorships, stadium security. What else?

Loop ownership in and sell them on using their players for a non-Neep and non-BIL match in the middle of the season.

Oh and need to figure out how to make lineups. Volunteers from the teams and draw out of a hat who goes on which team? (Yes Wigtown volunteers included since we're roping them in). What if we can get you some early big name/start volunteers and you can do some publicity with them while we fill out the rest of the lineup?

Of course. I have no doubt Mr. Urquhart will lend his support. Particularly if he doesn't have to shell out Galleons upfront for the cause because my end has done our diligence and secured sponsorships. Which we will, because I am excellent at my job.

I don't care how you choose your players, but do it quickly. If this is going to happen in less than a month, and with holidays to deal with at the same time, we need to hit the ground running right now.
