Who? Emma and Tim
When? Christmas Eve night
Where? Emma's flat
What? Christmas celebrating
Rating? TBD

Emma's tree was lit and she was lighting a few candles around her flat. It was late Christmas Eve and Tim was coming over for the night and she wanted things to be nice. There was gifts under the tree and there was a plate of homemade cookies (from the deli, not made by Emma!) and a steaming pot of hot chocolate staying hot with charms on tray on her coffee table. It was very homey and Christmasy, she thought. At the knock at the door, she checked on her hair in the mirror, straightened her red velvet dress before she opened the door. "Hi," she smiled up at Tim.

Emma grinned over her shoulder at him as she dished out dinner. "What? You like the idea of me in the kitchen? Should I put on an apron so we can play house?" she teased with a grin.

"Would you?" He asked, mock-excited. It was playful, and he was grinning as he lifted the wine glass for a sip.

Emma arched an eyebrow, waving a spoon at him. "You'd just better eat what is served to you, or you'll pay later," she teased right back, passing him a plate. Emma smirked as she fixed her own plate. "Maybe if you're good and we play house again... I'll wear just an apron.."

Tim gave a soft chuckle, accepting the plate. "All right, all right, I'll behave." He grinned softly, setting the plate down in front of him. "With incentive like that, how could I not?"

Emma laughed with him, walking over to sit across from him with her dinner and a glass of wine. "Happy Christmas," she smiled, clinking her glass with his. "Enjoy," she insisted, cutting into her meat. "So... what's going on with you?" she asked casually.

Tim shrugged softly. "Nothing new, besides that it's Christmas." He said. "What about you?" He asked, digging into his food. It was very good, and he hadn't known how hungry he really was until there was a plate of food in front of him.

Emma had to admit that it was pretty good, though she didn't make it herself. "Well, I was planning on going to see my mom tomorrow, but I wasn't sure if I could handle you meeting her the first time like that.. on Christmas," she sighed, picking at her food. "So, I went to see her about an hour ago. You don't mind if we go another time, do you?" she asked him.

"Whenever you want to." Tim said, reaching a hand over to rest on her arm--whatever part of it he could reach. "No pressure."
