Lavender peered into the bassinet, smiling at Katherine who was staring back at her. "Hi, sweetheart, are you going to watch Mommy decorate the tree with Daddy?" she asked softly, leaning closer so Katie could see her. The baby's eyes went wide and she gurgled, shifting in her blankets. "We have special ornaments just for you and if you're a good girl and let Mommy sleep, Santa will come tonight," she teased, caressing her soft cheek.

The front door of the flat opened and Kevin came in. "Hi, hon. Did you get dinner?" she asked, walking across the living room. Roxy stayed behind, peering at the bassinet containing the bundle that still perplexed the poor dog.

	Lavender had looked at some townhouses, but they lacked one thing. "Most of the townhouses don't have much of a yard," she pointed out. "I guess I saw us living somewhere with a big backyard for Katie to play in," she confessed. She saw the look in his eyes. "You love the city... I can't ask you to leave London..." she smiled softly. 	His idea actually wasn't too horrible. It got the wheels spinning in her head. "Or, at least tear part of it down. Keep part of it and expand on one house. I mean, we're not a witch and a wizard for nothing," she pointed out. "Then we could fence in what we knock down and make a yard?" Lavender loved projects. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	The smile on her face was getting brighter every moment. "I really like this idea," she smiled. "I want us to have... room to grow," Lavender confessed. 	"The money I got from my share of the estate is more than enough to pay for the land. We would be able to own it out right," she told him, arranging Kate's blankets so she could show the baby the tree. "And then maybe next Christmas, we could be decorating a tree in our own house.
