WHO: Everyone
WHAT: A catastrophe
WHERE: St. Mungo's
WHEN: Thursday Afternoon, around 4:45p

The bottle had been swapped the night before. The intern, a young wizard named Julius Young, was not supposed to be using Draco's ingredients, but he'd run out of his own and didn't want to wait till tomorrow. He was almost done, fifteen minutes before his shift was over. Arsenius had gone home. Draco was on break. He charmed the lock open, took out the bottle, and went back to his work station.

It was one of the most common potions the hospital used, but one of the ingredients, if mixed with Salamander Blood, was horribly explosive. The night before someone had sneaked in to the lab and swapped the bottle with salamander blood, dissolved in water with green dye. When the fake ingredient hit the half-finished potion, there was a shower of sparks, and then--as it mixed in-- a big bang.

The hospital shook, the blast set off a chain reaction of other, less stable ingredients in the lab. The floor above caved into the lab below. The lab sank into the floor below. Clocks fell off the wall, bottles rattled off the edges of tables.

The hospital broke into a state of panic.

Astoria didn't even nod. She simply blinked, then swallowed. "All right."

There was a lot of pain in her back, hips and thigh. There was a warm, wet feeling in her hair, as if she was bleeding there, too. A tear slid from the corner of her eye down toward the floor.

"Can you wiggle your toes?" Katie picked up her hand, checked her pulse, and squeezed her hand. "Can you feel that?"

"I can feel that." Tori said. She was afraid of moving for fear that something was seriously wrong with her. "But I don't think I can move my toes."

Katie pulled out her wand and levitated her a few feet in the air, taking care not to jostle her position. Katie checked the back of her head. "You've got a gash here, nothing serious, but scalps bleed like there's no tomorrow."

She tapped the back of her head with the wand and sealed the cut, the blood still looked bad.

Tori blinked, not nodding. She was far too afraid of doing more damage. "It hurts in my back. Did I break my back when I fell?" She asked, then gave a cough. "What happened?"

"It's possible, but more likely you've just hurt the muscles or done some bruising." Katie could remember plenty of Quidditch falls that at the time felt like she'd be paralyzed, but ten minutes later just ached annoyingly. "Keep positive, okay?"

Tori finally nodded. Nothing snapped, her vision didn't go black, she figured her neck wasn't broken. "The world turned upside down. What on Earth happened?" Is Draco okay?

"I'm not quite sure," Katie said. She could see security running around behind them. "Some kind of explosion. It looks like the floor over there fell down into the next floor... in fact... we should move in case this bit goes too."

Katie started levitating Astoria until she was settled on a cot. "Just breathe, okay? It'll manage the pain. I need to relocate your hip and it's going to smart."

Tori nodded. She let the other woman levitate her, and breathed slowly once she was settled on the cot. "All right." Her eyes closed and her fingers gripped the side of the cot as she prepared herself for pain.

Katie had to make this quick. She grabbed Tori's hip and popped it quickly back into place. There was a loud snap and after her arms were shaking from the sudden exertion of strength.

Tori gave a yelp of pain. Her body started to shiver a little from the stress and adrenalin. Even though it was very sharp, the pain was fast, and started to fade away right afterward. "Thank you," she whispered, her eyes still closed. Her face was in a grimace, but it, too, was slowly fading.

"Alright, I'm artifact accidents so I'm gonna push you to a safer ward and find a more specialized healer to check your other injuries." Katie got behind the gurney and started pushing.

Tori nodded. She was glad her hip was back in place, though she was still hurting in other places. Another healer could help her. But only after they took care of the other patients. Tori didn't like people fussing over her, and she didn't think she was in immediate danger.

"Thank you." She said again, opening her eyes to give Katie a small smile. They closed once more, and the smile faded from her face.
