Lavender had left St. Mungo's a little after lunch, seeing as she hadn't been hungry, lunch hadn't mattered. She'd finished her paperwork, made sure the afternoon shift assistants were settled then headed home to see Kevin. Riding the elevator up, she read a pamphlet she'd gotten from her new maternity mediwitch that explained about the early months of pregnancy. She was already showing a lot of the symptoms - fatigue, sore breasts, and the early stages of morning sickness though Lavender always felt sick around lunch time.

As the elevator opened, she tucked the pamphlet into her bag and pulled out her keys. She'd known about the baby for just over twenty-four hours, but hadn't told Kevin because she'd wanted more information from the maternity mediwitch. Things were looking up, but she still wasn't sure how Kevin would feel about a baby. When she opened the door, Roxy bounded over, barking happily. "Hey girl," she smiled, petting the dog. "Kevin? Babe, you home?" she called out, setting her bag on the table.

	Kevin's hand stopped moving. His forehead tensed and his eyebrows went up just the slightest bit. "Oh." It took a moment for his brain to catch up with itself, and then all the thoughts rushed at once. His voice cracked when he spoke next, "Aren't you... potion?" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Her bottom lip quivered. "Yes!" she cried. "It was... I didn't mean... it was one day!" she told him. "I didn't mean for it to happen... one day lapsed but it was..." Lavender was crying now, her words coming out in a jumbled mess. She knew he'd be upset. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	She laughed softly as she got to her feet. "Well, it looks like I got pregnant before we got married, so yeah... backwards," she agreed. Lavender brushed her teeth, getting the nasty taste out of her mouth. After rinsing she turned to him. "I'm due on May 7th of next year," she told him. 	Lavender shook her head a little, staring at him in the mirror. "No... it's not just us anymore... I'm growing someone inside of me," she reminded him. "Which is a bit of a bizarre concept when you think about it. My new mediwitch gave me all kinds of papers and pamphlets to read. 	She nodded a little, turning around to face him. "It's not exactly the most comfortable idea in the world, Kevin," she sighed. "I don't want to get huge... even if it is for a baby," she told him. She nodded, taking his hand as they walked into their bedroom. "Before we really get into it, I need to tell you a couple of things I learned from my new mediwitch. First, the chances of us passing on our condition is slim to nothing," she said, sitting on the edge of the bed. "She told me that she's never seen it in any other patient that's conieved as a half-moon."
